World War III Looming?
by kelsey007 inas this administrations (u.s.) seems intent on attacking iraq the north koreans have admitted violating a 1994 treaty banning thier production of nuclear arms.
as of today they have told japan that they have no intent of giving up thier arms.
that combined with a recent assasination of an american diplamat and other terrorist activities around the globe brings to mind how volatile world conditions are.

i just felt like a change of scenery...and so i thought i'd share some of my scenery with you in the hopes that you would share some of your scenery with me .
a couple of weekends ago andy and i took a drive down great ocean rd - we never quite made to see the 12 apostles (lilacs - we're waiting for you babe lol)...but along the way we stopped and took a few photos.

Yogi is in Jellystone Park. Yellowstone is the United State's largest national park. It is in Idaho, Wyoming and Montana. It has all kind of geysers, like "Old Faithful" and mud pots. It has tons of beautiful territories, and water falls. If you come to the USA, it is a must see to get a taste of the American outback.

Sorry, it was something my grandfather used to say and I still think it applies to a lot of things today. In that no one wants to take on responsibility for their actions, and hope others will clean up their mess. Some times we just need to grab a big wad of toilet paper and get to wiping, or were are just going to stink all day.My thought

Will God intervine?

as jw's we were taught that god will intervine in the world and bring the earth to a unified state under a theocratic government.
so, is man capable of maintaining the earth without intervention from a "higher source"?

If there is a Christian God that is going to ride in and save the day, what is taking him so long. After all, wasn't WW1 or WW2 worth his time to stop. Did he not seem to care when people were dying in the crusades, or when the plague killed a huge percentage of mankind. Is he just going to ride in to save all the white nations, because Africa has been in turmoil for decades will millions being executed because they are not in the right tribe. If we are in rough times as a nation, well perhaps it is our turn and we should not expect God is going to save the day. Perhaps we need to save it for ourselves and realize this is what we got.

I am going to print up everyone's thoughts and send them with a card I will address as being from "online friends" If any have something special they would like to say, please e-mail me and I will include it. I can not give out any personal addresses or numbers, but the thoughts mailed will mean a lot. I am going to FedEx the card Thursday, so that she has it before the weekend.

Voices in the head that said "NO!"
by kenpodragon inyour a teenage boy again, and you have just snuck out of your parents home at midnight.
you sneak through the bushes, getting a couple of scratches and head to the rendezvous location that your friends arranged earlier.
you climb into the car to a bunch of cheers, and head off to the location you had been looking forward to all night long while you waited for your parents to go to bed.

I know what you mean, I think of Dana as a close friend and we have never even spoke on the phone. I have e-mailed her back and forth many times and shared laughs and hardships in the way friends do. I want to jump on a plane right now and be there for her, but I know I can not. Suddenly 2000 miles apart seems like a 100,000 miles. I hurt so much for her, and could never imagine what this would feel like.

If you did, I am sad to report that yesterday her 14 month daughter died. She was put down for a nap and got the cords from the Venetian blinds wrapped around her neck. Dana is one of the sweetest mothers and people you would ever get to know. If you do not know her, I am sorry to put this here to make you sad. Ex-Jw's are a world wide community and when one of use hurts, we stand in strength for one another, their is no face that is unknown or forgotten. If you know Dana, please keep her in your thoughts, prayers, meditation or what ever works for you. Just know, this was very devastating for her and husband, and their other two young boys. My heart is very sad right now, I am going to step away to collect my thoughts to be strong for my friend.
