Any other martial artist online

i went from the jw's and got heavy into martial arts.

i have a black belt in kenpo karate, tkd, and kenjitsu and also hold ranks in jujitsu and other lower ranks in other systems.

i learned ages ago it is nothing evil like witnesses said it was, and have actually trained a few ex-jw's in my time.

What "RULES" Did YOU Want To BREAK?

since the organization has so many rules, did you ever just want to break a rule, just to do it?

one rule that i enjoyed breaking was the 15 to 20 minute rule that you were supposed to come to the meeting early.

i was regularly tardy.

When I was 16, I think I wanted to have a big Roman orgy with all those cute single sisters. When I got older, I just wanted to take more time off from meetings and have a real life.

I have not heard any news reports from yesterday. I have a friend that works as a reporter for the local news, and I asked him a about stuff like this. This is what he said ...

"The news gets a lot of phone calls from people who want certain causes known. Not surprising, a lot have to do with religion. The media has to be careful though, as they do not want to get involved in something that is more of a one-on-one personal matter. They want to mention things that affect everyone or at least a large percentage. Thus, they do one of two things. One, they ignore it and hope it goes away. Two, they send out a "no name" reporter to interview for experience. When they get back they look it over and figure, we will keep it around for awhile. If later more things develop they have an edge. If not, they just say the story got bumped."

... Now in my conversation with my friend this afternoon, as I called him again on this issue. He said basically, "it is just not big enough!" It is not a issue enough people care about to put on the national news. It might show up in some story line to Dateline, 20/20 or something like that. It will be part of a whole collage of information though, and not one piece.

As a illustration, have you ever lost a loved one that really meant something to you. Didn't you almost want the news to mention them, or some parade of acknowledgement from the world that this person mattered? I know I have. In reality though, that is the world. If it is not big enough, if it does not affect enough people ... it is not news worthy. It's the hard facts of this life.

is there some purpose to be gained by attacking bill bowen and silentlambs?

do you honestly feel that bill bowen can be equated to the gb and is exercising his own form of brainwashing?

are his motives so disingenuous?

I agree. There is something that happens though called misunderstandings, and I think everyone does that to a degree. I do not think you are 21 .... I am going to guess 37? Born somewhere in the fall, perhaps October! Just playing.

It just seemed out in left field, when the question was so much about "what do you know" and not "what I think." Perhaps had we been face-to-face it would have come across with the manner in which you meant it. Such is the confusion of the internet at times. I thought you were trying to say I called someone a name.
