Were you afraid that the JW's were right?

many posters have said that initially they had doubts and then cane to the internet to check things out.

were any of you afraid that maybe you would find that the org was the truth ?.

i was worried about that.

I'm pretty sure MOST EX-JWs have had that fear. When you have been indoctrinated for yers, it's not THAT easy just to let it all go. It might be "one big realisation" as JanH said, but most people have a little personal demon sitting in the back of the head, whispering: WHAT IF......?

A few years back there was a nasty autumn storm on the Norwegian West Coast, and in a town called Aalesund a guy came screaming into the welfare office - he had completely lost it. He had been worried by reports on hunger and earthquakes, and when this storm ripped the roof off buildings, blew ships on shore, he lost it. Paniced. ARMAGEDDON IS HERE!

It's easy to laugh at stuff like that, but most people I know coming out of the Watchtower DO have those doubts, or maybe more FEARS. WHAT IF?

The only way of getting rid of these things - and the only way of getting mentally healthy (!!), is to study. Study the claims of the false prophet in Brooklyn.

Study the Watchtower records as a prophet. Some record! So far 100% miss!

Study the record of their excuse of a "god". This Jehovah chap, supposed to be the editor of the magazine in the world who has printed the most false prophecies!

I'd say this Jehovah has been pissed since the day ol' Booze Rutherford arrived, organizing a new smugler-route from somewhere to heaven - drinking all day long!

I guess that's the reason for the so called "remnant" to grow in numbers as well. The poor bastards are dead drunk, steps outside a cloud, and falls down! So, they need a new idiot down here. That's how even people in the Senile Body came to be "anointed", remember?

Knowledge, my friends. That's what makes it. Knowledge - not superstitions. Psychological crutches; "Where do we go now??" - no use. Learn to stand on your own feet folks, take your own decitions, and tell the Watchtower, their redicolous joke of a god, the window-cleaning elders and the rest of the mindcontroled grown-crew to go f*** themselves! (I was a good guy now, right? I didn't use the word "fuck"!)

Many years ago there was a TV program in Norway, and the Watchtower Heroes in the program (Niels Petersen and Staale Hegna) were lying all over the place about the contents of this book.

So, I posted some of it online, to prove them liars. This was noticed all over the world, and the Watchtower's legal department went bananas. They ordered(!) the Norwegian Branch Office to file a complaint to the police about this, and their Norwegian lawyer, a complete fool named Haakon Helstedt, said to Norwegian Press they would sue me for economical damage!

Nobody would believe a lawyer to be such a foolish asshole, but he did actually say that, and I said "Thanks, moron!".

They started sending a complaint to Telenor, who is an ISP in Norway. Telenor had nothing to do with this, and the chapter in question was on the server of another ISP!

Anyway, I asked The Norwegian Heathen Society to host the complete book, and they wanted to do that. In fact, they wanted a fight with the Watchtower drones in legal dep. So they did ( http://www.hedning.no/hedning/arkiv/jv/index.htm).

Then Telenor asked me to remove the pages, via MY ISP who bought the lines from them. I did, and I posted the COMPLETE book as frames, and of course the link to The Norwegian Heathen Society.

Then the Watchtower filed a complaint. The idiots didn't know the difference between a frame and anything else, and their "proof" delivered to the police were just stupid.

They filed a complaint against ME and against JanH (Jan Haugland). Jan because he had a link to the book! But the idiots did NOT file a complaint against the Heathen Society, and we could prove they only wanted to harass us.

The police just laughed, and dropped the case. And the result - the case were all aover the net. TIME Magazine made a discussion board just for this case, and News Releases about the event was sent to more than 1000 newspapers around the world.

In Norway it was all over the place, also the Norwegian Broadcastin Corporation made the best of it.

And - the poor Haakon Helstedt - was once again the absolute fool! LOL

I just can't imagine how such a guy can be a lawyer. The only thing he needs to do is showing his face, and they have lost the case :)))

Have you ever thought about the fact that you might get a better response if you showed more civilty and less hatred.

No, why? What "hatred" are you talking about?? I don't hate the poor bastards, I pity them!

Think about this....I know you want everyone to leave the dubs.

No, you don't - and the reason is quite simple. I don't give a shit if JWs wants to stay JWs. They have - just as you an me - a free will. And if they want to be mindcontroled drones, that's their choice. I do NOT want "everyone" to leave the Witchpower. I just want the bloody assholes to be civil, to follow the law, and stop persecuting everyone that doesn't agree.

If they do that, I wouldn't write anything about them at all. I simply don't care what people BELIEVE - I care about WHAT THEY DO!

You are free to do as you like obviously - I am just trying to look at this from the viewpoint of a sensitive dub in search of info who might consider such antics and words as giving validity to the Borg claim that apostates are unruly savages.

Oh, I'm aware of the hypocritical American view on things - being offended by words. We've talked about that in length here on this site.

Why not think of this angle for a change:

All others are soooooo polite (most of them, right, Farkel?), and I chose another way of doing things. It's more than one way to Rome, my friend. Some JWs are so mad when they read the Observer they are "forced" to prove me a lying asshole. Fine - because nobody succeeded so far - and many who tried did see what the Witchpower was all about!

Besides that - I don't care if JWs are offended with what I write. I simply don't give a damn. They don't care if they offend me, do they?

Moscow's mayor Yuri Luschkov has a problem. His name is Sergei Dorenko. For weeks the well-known journalist, who moderates a political magazine in a broadcast studio friendly to Yeltsin, has been accusing the city chief of corruption, nepotism and contact with the mafia. An unpleasant situation, especially in the election campaign for the next state president, for which Luschkov is regarded as a promising candidate. Therefore the mayor hired a new judiciary staff member, Moscow lawyer Galina Krylova, and assigned her to prepare a libel suit against the journalist. Since then, Luschkov has yet a greater problem.

That is because the 37 year old woman is not only regarded as the most important legal representative for international sects in Russia, she also sits on the board of the "Citizens Commission on Human Rights" (CCHR) in the USA. This organization is a full-fledged offshoot of Scientology, whose goal it is to "liberate" the earth of psychiatrists.

Once more, sect experts are warning of possible Scientology influence upon Russian politics. "The mayor is either ill-informed, or somebody is trying to compromise him," said Alexander Dvorkin, sect commissioner of the Russian Orthodox Church in Moscow, about the new legal advisor. "Krylova is being used by Scientology as a Trojan horse."

"On top of that, she also represents a coalition of totalitarian cults." In fact, Krylova has conducted all the important proceedings for sects of all sorts in the last few years in Russia - and has lost most of them.

For instance, in 1995 she represented the Japanese poison gas sect, Aum Shinrikyo, when parents' initiatives fought to ban them. She has also worked for the Korean Moon sect, the Hare Krishnas and the Jehovah's Witnesses. Mostly, though, she has worked for Scientology, whereby her assignments have gone far beyond the duties of an attorney. The Scientologists put her on the board of CCHR and published a photograph in their magazine "Scientology News" in 1997 of "Fighters against Psychiatry" at a California sect gala. Krylova stood in the first row.

Scientology is presently under increased scrutiny by the justice department. After diverse raids, state attorneys are investigating top managers of the sect in various cities. On October 6, a Moscow court ordered the closing of the "Humanitarian Hubbard Center," the largest Scientology branch in Russia, because of money-laundering, illegal business practices and violating civil rights; the appeal of the Scientologists has not yet been decided. Legal representative for the sect was, as usual, Galina Krylova.

Russian and German sect experts are now warning of a renewed attempt by the organization "to exert influence on Russian politics and gather information on top politicians," according to Berlin Evangelical sect commissioner Thomas Gandow. He said that Krylova, based on her position, was "clearly a person who was being remotely steered by Scientology."

Since 1989, the sect has established more and more contacts to Russian politicians. In March 1998, the "Berliner Zeitung" reported that the newly named Premier Minister Sergei Kirijenko had taken Scientology courses. At the time, experts feared extortion attempts by the Scientologists. "Luschkov's connection to Krylova is a certified scandal," now says Russian sect commissioner Dvorkin. "Politically, that could be very dangerous for him."
