  Elders' advice hurt or harm?

  did any of you ever actually have to deal with having concerns and the elders being advised, even though you knew that the elders had no idea of the situation?

  any of you ever been hurt by listening to this advice?

  any of you being helped due to getting real help?.

  they claim they are 7 million and growing.

  is this true?

  i haven't been to a meeting in 12 years but i know of at least 100 people i grew up with that have left the congregation.

  They claim they are 7 million and growing. Is this true? I haven't been to a meeting in 12 years but I know of at least 100 people I grew up with that have left the congregation. Do you think the numbers are accurate in the active JW population? Have you also seen a mass exiting in your time or area? Are people dropping out like flies and congregations are having to combine to make ends meet? Is the GB pulling the wool over everyones eyes trying to make it seem like the org. has growth? Or are you seeing just the opposite?

  Find your old Assembly Hall...

  i was doing some investigation on google maps for a trip i'm making to pittsburgh, pa next week.. come to find out the the place i'm going is only a few mile from the assembly hall i spent allot of time at as a kid.

  looking at this pictures bring back allot of memories.

  some good, some bad.. anybody else attend this assembly hall in coraopolis, pa?.

  What Would Bring The Watchtower Down?

  randy/dogpatch has posted some interesting material about troubles in the organization.

  this info generated a lot of skepticism about the possibility of watchtower fragmentation.

  frankly, it is very easy to be skeptical considering everything that ordinary witnesses are willing to believe or put up with.. i think it would be useful to realistically consider what sort of event(s) would bring the watchtower down or cause its fragmentation?

  Do you really think there is 7 million of them with so many people turning away??????. I know of at least 100 people I know of that I grew up with who are now not JW's anymore. There's got to be more leaving then getting in. Perhaps the numbers are not true and they are failing as we speak.

  You can get disfellowshipped for a dirty house too!

  i was telling my sister that i downloaded a copy of the new "flock" book (don't worry, my sister doesn't bat an eye over my doing things like this) and she was asking me if there was anything "good" or "juicy" in it.

  imagine her shock when i told her that members of the flock can be df'd for keeping an untidy house.. seriously, i think they were talking about hoarders.

  that is even worse!!!!!!!!

  i am a former dub, born and raised and left at the age of 18. i was baptised at nine, aux pioneer, regular pioneer and around 16 started to see the light.

  my parents give me the heave-ho the day i hit 18 (at midnight, to be precise.

  ) i was marked at 17 for dating a "worldly".

  i think that we should have a party to celebrate the year 2014. yes, it's a few years away but it's a pretty significant mark in time.

  it could be a lot of fun!

  How long until the WT Society gives "new light" about the Internet?

  the watchtower and awake have given some warnings in the past concerning materials available via the internet.

  apostate and porn sites, violent games, useless and frivolous entertainment, and so on.

  for now, they are contended with just giving friendly warnings.

  Your guess is as good as mine. I'm sure its only time before the GB force control of JW's being internetless. As far as it being new light, I don't think so. Just a new rule.
