As a JW, what did you do on Christmas Day?
by Magwitch ingrowing up a jw, we always had family from out of town visit or we would go visit family.
it was fun to get together with my other jw cousins over christmas.
(however, it was hell going back to school in january as the only girl without a new sweater).. as a married jw though it was a different story.

As a JW I remember going out in service as a child on Christmas Day. I watched in awe as the children behind the doors opened there presents and I stood out in the cold holding my bookbag. ugh!

Help me become a real CRAZY FUNDIE ATHEIST parent!

once in a while you hear about fundie atheists, and i have desided to become one.
but i need a bit of advice.. you see, apparently the fundie atheists are as messed up as their worst religious "fundie" counterparts, so i got some expectations to live up to.. i have desided to focus on how i should raise my child, since the religious dickery i hate the most has to do with how children are raised.

BOHM--Your kidding right? You gotta find some balance. Lets not tip the scale the other way and TRY to mess our children. I suppose your trying to go extreme (other way) because your angry? I don't think we are seeing the whole side of this story.

I've had two sisters of mine follow my steps! I tried to have my parents over to explain to them WHY I left the religion, but they thought I was trying to get THEM to leave it too and called me a Apostate and tried to leave my house. Thankfully my wife pined my mom down and said, "You ain't going anywhere." My mom, whom I spent the money to fly them from Florida and was in her pajamas at the time reluctantly stayed but locked herself in my bedroom for the rest of the week where she prayed, read the bible, and other literature ect.. When she left her last words were, "Well Josh, we don't know if we'll ever see you again." My Dad on the other hand was very understandable, and fun to be around still.

by flipper ini don't know what it is ...... but it's becoming disconcerting.
he's going to just have to sit outside the door and wait.
i know it will be dissappointing to him , as he purrs like crazy while gathering in the experience.

My cat waits for me to flush so she can drink out of the bowl. Not so much as sitting on my lap while I'm going though. I guess if she did she would just be trying to read SkyMall magazine with me.
