The Pope,
You understate the obvious - what an album - can't believe how good it sounds + first album with E-Street band since BITUSA in 1984. Followed "The Boss" since 1976 (even as a jw!!) and he just captures the moment and the mood.
Particular favourite is "The River" which sums up my first jw marriage.. listen to the words...
Cheers

Thanks Simon,
Had hoped to go south but recovering from moving house - some advice - don't do it! Have moved only @500 yards - may as well have moved 500 miles - phones, gas, elec and most importantly SKY - all hassle! (Ands that beside the chain!!!)
North sounds good (suspicion it be the M'cer area:-) - pick a non rainy day...)) though off on hols first 2 weeks in August.
Hi to the family from Lesley & Leanne too!!

this is my first attempt to make contact with ex jws, i would love to make contact with ex jws in cambridgeshire/northamptonshire but would luv to hear from anyone else who wishes to share their wit/humour or just chat.

Oops - helps to read posts in order!
Talking of assemblies I went to Bowes Road - another converted cinema! I think St Ives was in the London circuit for assemblies (conventions were at Norwich), but not sure if Peterborough was.
Take care

Amazing coincidence ... what are the odds!
by Simon ini saw this on a tv programme a year or so ago and thought of it today for some reason:.
a wages clerk at a small company was working on the payslips when she noticed a mistake with one of the employees wages.
as it was his day off but the wages had to be paid into the bank that day she decided to ring him up to check on whatever the problem was.. he answers the phone and she says "hi" and starts to explain the problem.. for some reason though, he is amazed and keeps asking how show knew he'd be there !?.

KenUK
Hi Simon,
Some professional input here...
Wages Clerks are "passe" - they are now Payroll Administrators....:-)
Would you like your P45 now or later!!
