Good on ya Ashi,
I can relate to how the in-laws treat you and each other.
I'm in the same boat where my partner's family are wonderful people.
My first easter with them was a shock for me, with all the family together and all the yummies chockies.
Christmas was the same.
Despite being "worldlies", they are fantastic, loving and welcoming people.
This year we spread chockie eggs around the living area and my 20 month old baby around picking them up and putting them in her basket.
It was so cute.

by maxwell ini'm a jehovah's witness who's doubts about god have been kinda forced to front by some adulterous acts on my part.
i don't really feel the the jw's are dangerous presently, at least not any more than any other religion.
i do feel the urge to free myself from it and my marriage within the week.

Good fruits from this forum
by Yadira Angelini infew weeks ago, i invited my jws daughter for a formal dinner.
i asked her to bring her closest jws friends, including an elder from her kh.. i let her know that i didn't have any hidden agenda on my part.. that i just wanted to have a good time with her and that i wanted to honor her friends.. she asked me how many she could invite; i said no more than six.. she invited three.
like i said, including an elder.. my husband cooked a delicious meal for them... but just two days before the event, i started to get 'cold feet'.

Yadira,
Thank you for sharing your experience with us all.
There certainly is a loving fellowship here.
I also have been able to enjoy time with my family despite our differences.
In the past it was different, but now, we display a true sense of love for each other.
My non JW cousins had respect for me in the past while I was a JW, but now there's an even stronger feeling we have for each other.
My siblings have also been able to cultivae this same feeling for each other.
It takes time and a willingness to talk the issues thru.
I am glad your dinner went well.
Peace to you and your family

The fact that Jeh would not let you be tested beyond what you could bear.
Some would die coz of their faith, others wouldn't. Why ??
Also, coz of this I was shit scared to have kids in this system, thinking that satan would harm them to turn me away.
I remember reading about persecutors holding a kid over a bridge to get the parents to co-operate.
Yet Jeh allowed these things to happen as a test on his servant ?? -
