We are TV watchers. and have been all our lives. However, we subscribe to the basic package that the Satellite companies have to offer. The problem with watching your favourite programs on the internet, is, that you have to wait an extra day to watch it as it gets released by the networks.

The medical specialist told me something alarming today. Pretty bummed.
by Julia Orwell inso i've been going to doctors for years with chronic fatigue, a condition i managed ok but which took a drastic nose dive in late 2011 to 2012 to the point where i could barely function.
work was part of the problem, so at the end of that year i left that stressful environment.
but in the meantime, for the last few years i've been going to doctors, specialists, psychiatrists and psychologists and undergoing every sort of blood test you can imagine and seeing all sorts of medical people.

OK, Julia, you now know the diagnosis. Here is the cure from Dr. QB. Eat lots of chocolate.
Good health to you.

What concerns me is how many times a publisher overlooks the "Do Not Call" on the territory card. When they approach the door and find out that it seemed like a good call and placed literature there, they assume that it was a mistake.
There should be a better arrangement to protect young people from this danger.

If the GB reinstated the Book study, would it take?
by BU2B ini have been noticing in recent threads that people have been observing that the zeal has been waning among r+f jws.
i have observed that most zealous, die hards have gone to foreign lands, or foreign language congregations, leaving the others in the stagnant english congregations.
when you think of it, if you cared at all about bringing people into the cult, you probably would be preaching where it is fertile, the foreign field.

The Governing Body Have Stabbed Many Old Bethelites In The Back By Not Taking Care Of Them In Their Old Age
by frankiespeakin inthese guys are real company men when they have mass lay off of older bethelites tossing them to the curb and making the congregation they are assigned to carry some of the load, so that the watchtower corporation can cut costs of providing for these nolonger young people who have devoted theirs lives to the corporation.. they are heartless bastards aren't they?
i wonder what kind of undercurrent this is causing at headquartes?.

I often wondered who in their right mind would want to stay at Bethel. When I speak to a Bethelite, they also ask me what I do for a living. It's as if they regret being where they are and are searching for answers about how to leave. It's sad that feel that they are stuck in there. Here they are after spending years in this life, they can't leave financially. It's only when they are forced to leave that they go and pursue government assistance.
It's a trap. Parents, don't let your children grow up to be Cowboys, and Bethelites.

CO explaining at Circuit Assembly how to measure neighbourly love
by Daniel1555 ini attended the circuit assembly this weekend.
it was boring as always (except for one positive thing that was said was that we should be gentle especially the elders).. there was one thing that left me absolutely speechless.
the co was explaining how to measure neighbourly love: by the amount of time spent in fieldservice.. the next point he mentioned was that we should strictly adhere to the disfellowshipping arrangments and not find excuses to speak to df family members.. .

I gave my donation for the Philipine Releif this morning at a local Bank. Funny how my wife and I felt confident in giving this way. We were turned off recently from hearing a Bethel speaker tell us to not tie down the the Society's hand's by making special requests for our donations. "Just give to the WorldWide work, and they will sort it out", they said.
We beleive in giving to ither charities as well. My wife also campaigns for the Cancer Society.

Yes, that's such a switch from today when we are bombarded with requests for giving to the WT international work, and locally. They don't even want us to put strings on our donations such as to apply the funds to the Phillipines Releif work. Just give to the Society and they will control our money.
It all seems so suspicious, when they even want to control our monetary gifts like that. I want to help the Phillipines but I just can be bothered to give my contribution to the Society. I gave my money at a local Bank that specified their intentions.
