Book Burning and other burning of materials done by JW. Any experiences Please post
by adjusted knowledge inas a very young child i have memories of several book burnings done by jw families.
it wasn't something arranged by the congregation, but elders did participate in it.
it was actually scary for me as a child of only about 8 years old.

There was a JW man that burned up his playboy collection. Had he saved them, today they would be worth so much . -

Rumor about the Imitate Jesus Convention
by FusionTheism ini saw a rumor a few weeks ago on reddit that the new imitate jesus convention is supposed to present new light and clarified understandings on the disfellowshipping/disassociation practices.. supposedly, if this rumor has any truth to it, there will be a talk given at the convention about how we should not be strict like the pharisees in how we shun people, loosening up some of the jw rules about this practice.. has anyone here heard anything about this or have more info on it?.

They certainly need to clarify their Necessary/unnessary family business policy. -

Did You Feel Bad For the JW Dishwasher-Cook Who Quit His Job (May JW Broadcasting)To Avoid Attending Later Meetings? He Pioneered on Welfare or Unemployment!
by RoyalFlushPhil indid you watch the story about the jw who was working as a burger boy at some diner and his boss wanted him to work on sunday during the time of his meeting?
this faithful jw decided he could not attend a later meeting (6 pm sunday meeting) and soon quit his job(or got fired to attend his sunday meeting) so he could attend the sunday meeting he was assigned to.
i think he was on welfare because this story states he won't work on sunday morning because that's when his meeting is!

First of all I'm glad that this posting got it right when we changed his job as Dishwasher to Short Order Cook. I think that quitting that job was the best thing that he could do. In certain provinces, Employers have to consider an employee's religious right to not work on Sundays. So right or wrong, the legal system supports a person's religious rights. It doesn't matter if you are Moslem, Christian, Budhist, etc.
2nd of all, The Employer did this guy a favor in firing him from this job. I used to be a Short Order Cook and it was the worst job I ever had. No wonder he was smiling when he said he lost his job. That gave him dignity.
3rd of all, going to another meeting during the week happens all the time, and it is not going to change anytime soon.

OK I wasn't going to reveal this new surprise coming soon on JW Broadcasting. It's a new WT version of the Batchelor School for single pioneers. It starts with your arrival in a bus, and you must be dressed as if you are going to a meeting, there you will meet a single brother. You will take turns meeting this brother in a supervised, chaperoned, group setting. You dates will consist of working on KH's, FS, cleaning some of the Branch facilities. But at the ens of the day, you can be asked to go home if you do not receive a rose from the school overseer, not the single brother. This Chariot is amazing -

G Losch: child baptised at 5, reg pioneer since!
by fifth.column inat the end of april, there was a zone visit in france, with tv broadcast in all kh.. g. losch told he received a letter from a girl, 10 years old, baptised at 5, reg pioneer since 4 years !
what a fine example, he said....... let s imagine the faces of the parents in the kh!
i was happy to see i was not the only one to find it crazy.. if you have a child, you know how mature he is at 5. how can a child preach 2.5hours/day after 7hours of school and homework to do??

Wow, I missed that when I was watching the Broadcast. Can you imagine that? She would be invited to go to pioneer school, and give a note to her school teacher while being absent in doing so.
Kids now a days are sure different. You can encourage them to go out in FS, but, you can't convince them to do house chores, or eat their vegetables,

July Kingdom Ministry
by CloseTheDoor inthe july 2015 kingdom ministry says jws can't do international outreach through the internet, but to instead, point someone in the direction of jw.org site.. it's just another form of control.
the individual publisher is forced to send the interested one to a website fully controlled by the borg.. .

They do tell you how many sheets to dry your hands at the conventions. I guess I now have to discontinue my membership at Christian Mingle. I will say this, it's getting harder and harder to count my FS time for Auxilliary Pioneering -

My Last thoughts in Field Service Before the Elderly Man Shat Himself and Pissed his pants in My New Car!
by PokerPlayerPhil indebating this was going to be the last day in field service was not hard after dealing with a nasty mess because i was grouped with the misfits of the kingdom hall!
i was reading this website on my phone while something started to stink in my car and one of the weird kids nobody wanted to work with yelled "hey, you leaking all over my seat, he was freaked out too!
" the older, retired elder, his pioneer daughter had forgotten to put his depends on and that became my problem.

Up here in Canada we let the Elderly stay home and warn them to stay put. We caution them about how they could accidently break a bone out there. Then we tell them, " Give us your 15 minute increments, not your excrements". -

Mays JW TV Broadcast/Your feedback is appreciated
by ToesUp ini have a pretty good intuition but i have to admit i am going back and forth on the jw tv may broadcast.
i keep asking myself are they really in financial trouble (wishful thinking) or are they just grabbing for more money?.
i always appreciate reading everyone's thoughts and ideas on here.. let me know what you think.

I am I said
To no one there, and none heard at all, not even the chair.
I am I cried, I am said I, and I am lost, and I can't even say why
I am I said, I am I cried, I am
