Locally a few studies were started. Some do attend meetings. Some that were DF'd and DA'd have contacted the congregations. -

"So that we will not be confused with salesmen, it is best not to mention the donation arrangement unless we are asked..."
by Island Man in"so that we will not be confused with salesmen, it is best not to mention the donation arrangement unless we are asked how our work is financed.".
this damning quote is found on page 1 of the september 2015 our kingdom ministry, the last sentence in the 3rd bullet point under the sub-heading how to do it.
this quote amounts to an implicit admission that the jw practice of mentioning the donation arrangement to householders at the door, makes them look like door to door salesmen.. why would "jehovah's organization" be engaging in a practice that is nothing more than a transparent attempt at undercover soliciting?

Is this a subtle clue that the leaders really see the "great tribulation" of the WT coming soon?
by never a jw insimilarly, we cannotexpect that the future interruption inthe great tribulation will result in aninflux of new believers.
rather, it willbe an opportunity for all true believersto prove their love for jehovah andgive their support to christs brothers.. (par.
7, page 16, wt july 2015).

I can't remember which paragraph it was in the WT study article. But they stated, "There is a lot that they didn't know, about the Great Tribulation". That statement I agree with that part of the WT study. -

I've decided to make a difference that REALLY matters
by Mrs. Eden inhello friends!today is a sad day for me, as seven months have gone by since my mother passed away after a decades-long fight with breast cancer..
because the witnessing/preaching/teaching work doesn't make any sense to me anymore; because it's not about any "truth"; and because it's basically useless, i've decided to quit doing it.
instead, i've decided to do something that actually can make a real difference in other people's lives.

Here is the funeral talk outline. VERY discraceful.
by stillstuckcruz inthis is truly terrible.
i just love the statement "instead of eulogizing the deceased, use the material in this outline to give a fine witness concerning the truth.
" in other words, utterly disregard the deceased.

I've noticed that recent funeral talks seems to talk more about the deceased with a mixture of some association with their faith. Of course it does depend on the speaker. I've attended Funeral talks at Bethel, congregations with Bethel speakers, and Local speakers. I must be in the age group of those on the Grim Reapers list. If I not careful, he just might be looking forward to expand that list. -

I have to agree with you. We don't spend time to enjoy ourselves like you described. The idea of getting creative in art is an excellent one. I'm going to attempt that, and thanks for the idea. -

The elders of the 1980s are now in their 60s and 70s
by truthseeker inhaving just come back from the uk and spoke with some witnesses to find out how my old congregation is doing, i realized i am now the age that my elders were when i was a kid.
and i wonder what the elders who are now in their 60s and 70s are thinking when they look in the mirror and an old face looks back at them.
many of the elders in my old hall are now retired.

What's the matter with all of you? These are the Golden years. Take those two Ibuprophens and stop feeling down. You get seniors discounts, everyone smiles when you say the wrong things, you can wear plaid shirts, depends, you can drive a electric vehicle inside a grocery store. -
