i find it interesting that so often they refrain from using real names, using some ficticious name as though using the real name would be "wrong" in this mag in the article "the bible changes lives" not only do they use the actual names but they even publish pictures of the individuals.

i know this isn't a new phenomina but it seems kind of silly..

in the discussion on religion and children, what is left out, i think is that there is a great difference between teaching a child that there exists a book that extolls a great and loving creator, and dragging said child off to meetings, assemblies and even dragging them out in "field service".

So here's the rub. Apparently the guy with the mustache knows that his god don't like no gum, gummin up the works, so to speak. No mention if his god gives a lick about the human death toll from all the natural events (weather related) or the human related stuff. Ya I know he is waiting so that no one can accuse him of (whatever) when he kills off satan. But that damn gum, we gotta get on that right now!!!

When wondering about bat shit crazy new light and what the craziest is, keep in mind that the talk that includes the image and the toes has the provisio that there will be further info and explanation in an upcoming tower article. Also remember that it has been said by what seems a reliable source that there was a book ready to go that was not produced in time for this assembly. They are working overtime scratching their heads to come up with something "profound" that will satisfy the craving on the part of the "rank and file" as Barr called them, that won't backfire like the overlapping generation.

baltar337 -- that's the point I was making about this new bull light. They seem to have dropped the "king of the north". I think that is so that they can crank up the urgency. No need to wait for the next king of the north to emerge. We're ready to go now. Maybe wait a little bit to see how the UN comes into play a bit more but then let er rip. Harmageddon. But of course that Camping guy is a nut case for doing basically what they continue to do.

I think the "big" excitement is supposed to be generated by the supposed fact that they don't have to wait for another world power to become dominant enough to be seen as the "king of the north". Many have waited with baited breath and more than a little anxiety, since the lack of that king how could the prophecy come to fruition. So now the wonderful gubbering body has kindly given that there is no waiting for that to happen. Sooo, the big bang (the kingdom "stone" hurtling through space) can happen at any moment. I also love how they make it too clear that they didn't have this bullshite fully figured out and ready for the assemblies. Therefore the statement that this will be more fully covered and discussed in a upcoming watchtower article. LOL
