  wow, it's hard to believe it's already been about a year since this subject was covered in the wt study at kindgom halls around the globe... let's read it just one more time, so we don't forget just how ridiculous this sounded when we first read it.... watchtower (study edition), april 15th, 2010 issue, pages 27-29:.

  "this magazine has long been used by the faithful and discreet slave as the primary channel for dispensing increased light.

  ... what does this explanation mean to us?

  1914?? The precursors to the gb never said anything about that year. It was just some who just wanted to keep giving public lectures and not go in the field ministry that went on about that year. That was one of the reasons that control of the org had to be centralized into a gb. As more and more came to take on a false or misunderstood annointed standing because they were slightly off (looney) or confused because of their former affiliation with false religion, power had to be wrested from dillusional parts of the "faithful and discreet slave" and put into the hands of a few failthful and true annointed ones . . . and the story could go on and on and on. LOL

  revised vol 1 of young people ask.................hmmm lot of work in that one.

  how does a jw feel when he "has" to shun someone he likes/loves?.

  during the time i was in, i shunned people.

  but as i didn't like them, it was no problem.. but now, i'm trying to understand how my family might really feel.. (i presume here, of course, that they do "like/love me".).

  jamiebowers - 3. They are afraid they might be caught/seen not towing the party line and themselves be counseled. It's like why do they refrain from so many things. They might be "caught". What a sad debilitating life. And yes sadly for me I was there for too long.

  This is another Asleep magazine that makes me question the purpose of an organization that wants to teach the whole world the way to salvation, even publishing this stuff. Maybe if they stuck with the main purpose of their alleged purpose and existence they could have the same level of success at getting their message out as mr. camping. They already have the same level of failure in prediction.

  Sorry that this was a bit off the original topic, just sayin.

  I know this is a bit off topic, but if the water canopy (or bullshit story as brought out above) were accurate and true as they apparently still teach, would it not mean that Jehobar is responsible (and not the debil) for all the natural disasters today. After all when Jehobar was finished making the earth all ship shape and ready for habitation didn't he look down and declare everything to be "good". But if as they teach this water canopy or "heavenlly ocean" as they now add came down and the weight of the waters distorted the earths crust causing the deep ocean trenchs and high mountain ranges as they also teach would this not be destroying the serene earthly paradise . So then it would be Jehobar who brought all the woe to the earth. LOL
