Jesus Died For........

it is a well-accepted fact that jesus as an israelite was under the mosiac law covenant.

as he himself said at matthew 5:17: do not think i came to destroy the law or the prophets.

i came, not to destroy, but to fulfill.

However, my Lord says to you:

Romans 2:14-16

Very thought provoking quote.. The spirit inside me 'moved' me to respond to that.

The Master invited:

"Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Get under my yoke WITH me, and learn from me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."

The Greek quotes the phrase "learn from me" as "become my disciple." The Master invited ones to literally come to him and follow him and to learn from him. Listen to the things he says, obey his voice, watch him in action, and repeat what he does.

Although the Master was killed in the flesh, he has been resurrected from the dead and now lives for evermore in spirit. He told his disciples:

"I will not leave you bereaved: I will come to you. Yet a little while, and the world beholdeth me no more; but ye behold me: because I live, ye shall live also." (John 14:18, 19)

When the Master was killed, they were "desolated" or abandoned/orphaned for a short period of time (3 days). But he told them, "the world will behold me no more, but you WILL behold me."

The world beheld him by being able to hear him, see him, ask him questions and get answers back. In this SAME way his disciples WILL behold him. They will hear him literally, ask him questions and get answers directly from him, talk to him, and be able to obey him. They are also able to even see his figure, and thus "behold" him.

In the same way the Christ said anyone who wishes to come to him CAN beold him. Anyone may hear his actual voice, be able to ask him anything and actually hear his answers. AND behold his figure. (John 14:21) And because the Master "lives" they also will "live" by means of the 'water of life' of which they will drink from him after they put faith in him. (John 4:14, 7:37-39)

Having this type of relationship with the Christ enables anyone to easily "learn from him" and thus be "his disciple." You will literally "hear his sayings" thru the holy spirit, and be able to "remain in union" with him.

Becoming his disciple means you would likewise get "disciplined" or "trained" directly by him. "Disciple" meaning "trained" or "disciplined one." When you listen to the training and obey the discipline, you will bear "fruit." As you bear this "fruit" (righteousness) you will then "glorify the Father." Glory to the Father "glorifies the Son" and "proves yourself" truly HIS "disciple." (John 15:1-8; Heb. 12:7, 11)

Such a direct relationship is available by means of the free gift of holy spirit. Once that spirit is poured out upon you, you no longer worship God in a "physical way" (churches, etc.) but now you worship God "in spirit and in truth." Through holy spirit, the resurrected Christ will speak to you and guide you into all truth.

The eventuality of man is the same as animals

was it ezicle who said the eventuality of man is the same as for the animal, as one dies so does the other.

or something like that.. man has to die because he sinned, that's the price one has to pay.

solomon was indeed correct. The eventuality of man IS the same as the beasts. Just like how you can have "obedient" humans and disobedient humans, you can have "obedient" animals and "disobedient" animals. Balaam's ass. when she saw the angel she easily could have ignored it and kept proceeding. But instead she OBEYED the angel and stayed.

Animals are in fact, GREATER than you. For there are serveral of them that act more like the Lord than you do. All the animals that Jah declared "clean" were ones who WILLINGLY gave up their lives to sustain us. Others, who weren't willing, "fled." Jah destroys "man and beast," Jah also SAVES (as in a "salvation") "Man and beast."

The Last verse in Psalms say, "Let every BREATHING thing hallelujah!!" ('let every breathing thing praise Jah!') Animals breathe, plants breathe, fire breathe, all things that breathe PRAISE Jah. Ever wonder why the Master "cursed" the fig tree?

Well, the leaves were early on that tree, and so the fruit SHOULD have been early also. But since it was both decieving and REFUSED to bear fruit, the Master said, "Let NOBODY eat from you, at all." Such a fig tree my Father would not have planted. As a result, "every plant that my Father did not plant will be uprooted and tossed into the fire."

Indeed, when we all die, we are all "one spirit." Standing before the Judgement seat, there is no "superiority" over the 'spirit of man' and the 'spirit of beast.' We will all be esteemed "equal." We all will be judged of the things we did, whether good or bad.

The baptism is off.....

told by the elders yesterday that since i'm a official at a sports match on saturdays and i won't quit doing it (they mention it occasionally to me at meetings), that they won't be allowing me to get baptised the next assembly coming up.

it might matter if i was working 5 days a week but at the moment i'm only working 2 days......(i've already racked up 50 hours this month).

i remember a talk a while back with the theme "what prevents you from getting baptised?

Well, here you go:

All religions in the world are NOT the 'way' to God. Which 'way' is?

"I am the WAY, and the truth, and the life; NO ONE comes to the Father, unless by me."

"If you remain in my word, you will REALLY be my disciples. And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."

What is the 'truth?'

"Therefore, if the "Son" sets you free, you will actually be free."

The Son said he was the way, and the TRUTH.

Do you realize what that means? It means that if you, or I, or ANYONE wants "actual truth," we have to hear it DIRECTLY from the Son. How does God talk to us?

"God, has AT THE END OF THESE DAYS spoken to us using his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things.."

So what is the 'channel' of communication between God and us? (Heb. 1:2)

"My sheep HEAR MY VOICE, and I know them, and they follow me: "

"And I have other sheep that are not of this fold. Those also I must bring in, and they will HEAR MY VOICE, and they shall become one flock, one shepherd."

What about those who cannot hear the voice of Christ?

"He that is from God, hears the sayings of God. This is why you do not hear, because you are not from God." (John 8:47, 10:26)

His sheep listen to his voice. If they don't hear his voice, it's because they are none of his sheep.

What can you do so that you can "hear his voice" and become his disciple?

Obey his words to you at John 6:50-56, Matt. 26:26-28 (we have discussed this, yes?).

By doing this you will have "life" in yourself. Such life is "everlasting life" that will enable you to literally be 'in union' with him (John 6:56). Since you will be 'in union' with him, he and his Father will come to you, and dwell with you. (John 14:23)

"This is the life IN ORDER THAT THEY MAY KNOW YOU the only God, and of the one whom you sent, Jesus the Anointed." (John 17:3 Kingdom Interlinear Greek)

The everlasting life that you "partake of," and thus will have "life" in yourself will enable you to actually "know" God, and the one whom he sent.

Perhaps you weren't aware of this, but this is how we can "know" God:

"All things have been delivered to me by my Father: and no one knows the Son, except the Father; and NO ONE knows the Father, except the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son WANTS TO reveals him." (Luke 10:22; Matt. 11:27)

"He that has my commandments and observes them, that one is he who loves me. He that loves me will be loved by my Father and I will love him and will PLAINLY SHOW MYSELF TO HIM." (John 14:21)

So who do we have to "know" first? Is it not the Son? And when one knows the Son, he "plainly shows himself" to that one so that he 'beholds him as he really is.' Upon the Son being revealed, if he wants to, he will reveal the Father to that one. "In that day he will KNOW the Son is in union with the Father .... "

Spirit vs. Human

One thing you must realize is that we, "humans" are not pure "flesh and blood." We DO have spirit INSIDE us. For it is the "spirit that IS life, the flesh is of NO USE AT ALL." (John 6:63)

When God formed Adam, he blew into his nostrils the "spirit of life" which is holy spirit. Such spirit was so powerful that it can make any non-living thing, "living." We are spirits "clothed" in fleshly "vessels." These bodies are temporary, and they hold the spirit of men, temporarily. Once the flesh dies, the spirit "returns to the God who gave it." From there, it goes wherever God chooses to put it.

That is why when Stephen was being stoned, he cried out, "Lord Jesus, recieve my spirit."

Of the Father, Zechariah says:

"The burden of the word of Jehovah concerning Israel. Thus saith Jah, who stretches forth the heavens, and lays the foundation of the earth, and FORMS the spirit of man within him: " Zech. 12:1

Thus the 'spirit' of man INSIDE him, has a FORM. Just like the flesh was "formed" from that which is earthly, the spirit was formed from that which is heavenly. Hence, "nothing new under the sun."

The flesh is just a vessel, nothing more. Jesus knew this and thus he said, "the flesh is of NO USE AT ALL."

Paradise: Heaven or Earth?

i'm sure that many people have different views on this.

here are a few points i'd like to to kick off the debate with:.

in 1st thessalonians 4, paul talks about those who are 'sleeping' as in death and the promise made to them.

You are indeed correct. They ALL have a heavenly hope. Think of this, 'who died "in union" with Christ?' Was it not EVERYONE mentioned in Hebrews chpt. 11?

Moses "esteemed the sufferings of the CHRIST as riches far greater ..." Evidently he died 'in union' with Christ.

Also in Heb. 11:16 he says respecting them:

"But now they are reaching out for a better place, that is, a heavenly (one): wherefore God is not ashamed of them, to be called their God; for he hath prepared for them a city." (Read your Greek interlinear, "belonging" was not originally there)

The Master promised:

"Yet a little while, and the world beholdeth me no more; but ye behold me: because I live, ye shall live also. "

When the Lord was raised from the dead, he "blew upon them holy spirit." Such spirit granted them all to have "life" in themselves. Hence, even if their flesh had died, they would continue living because of the holy spirit inside them.

This is the 'living water' that is offered to 'anyone wishing, anyone asking' that they too may "drink" and have "life" in themselves. (John 4:10, 14; 7:37-39)

Since these faithful ones were looking forward to a "heavenly" place, that DOES NOT MEAN they will not inherit the earth. Our Lord when he was raised up recieved "all authority in HEAVEN AND ON THE EARTH."

here is one for you.. in matt 24:9 it says **then** you will be persecuted .

in luke 21:12 it says **before** this you will be persecuted.

i have my own explaination, but it is quite radical and so.

Actually, dear Dave, the "sign" is NOT persecution, it was a 'warning.' To let them know they were first.

The 'sign' is clearly described in Matt. 24:30

"and then shall appear the SIGN of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory."

the answer to their question. THAT is the sign.

new, nowhere to turn, ashamed & afraid

hullo everybody i'm new here, even though i've been lurking now for several months.. i have to say how afraid i am to post, afraid and ashamed but i feel if i dont tell my story, i honestly dont know what may happen to me or my children if they lose me, right now i feel like i've got nowhere left to turn and have my doubts about this place as well.. i know my story will shock you but i cant keep it in any longer.

i am recently disfellowshipped for immorality, the subject of a kingdom hall witch -hunt and subsequent congregational humiliation, .

during the process of the judicial committee meetings and proceedings no consideration was given to my real human circumstances nor to the spirit of survival nor human nature nor that of a mother seeking to protect her children from lack of basic fundamentals such as food, shelter and clothing.

Women, the 144'000 and the Governing Body.

throughout the history of the nation of israel as recorded in the hebrew scriptures, all of it's kings and priests, as appointed by jehovah god, were male.. while on earth, jesus obediently followed the rules of jehovah's organisation as it then existed.

Well, that is not correct, for Jesus followed and fulfilled the Law. The Law was given through Moses as the mediator and at that time there was no "organization." There was only a "mediator," "priests" of Jah, and the "high priest" of Jah. They were a 'holy nation' who presented themselves to Jah through their "mediator" or through the "high priest." An "organization" did not form until Israel began "asking for a king." At such a time there was NOW, an "organization" with one in power, who was the king. Before, only Jah was the king. Jesus obeyed and fulfilled only the Law pertaining to the "covenant." Any additional "laws" formed by the king, Jesus "observed" according to his Father's commandment so that he would not "stumble" the Jews.

There was no "council" in Jerusalem. for the ENTIRE congregation was there, and only one man, James, made the decision. The apostles with older men TOGETHER with the WHOLE congregation agreed with James and thus formed a letter to send to those who were not present. (Acts 15:19-23)

One other thing which I wish everyone would comment on is this:

Rev. 5:9, 10 says:

"You bought persons for God out of EVERY TRIBE AND TONGUE AND PEOPLE AND NATION, and you made them to be a kingdom and priests to our God, and they are to rule as kings upon the earth." (Check your Greek)

And these same people from "every tribe" are mentioned here ....

"And I saw, and look! a great multitude which no man can number, from EVERY NATION AND TRIBE AND PEOPLE AND TONGUE ...... "(Rev. 7:9) (Check your Greek)

And yet the SAME revelation John sees,

"And I heard the number of them that were sealed, a hundred and forty and four thousand, sealed out of EVERY TRIBE of the sons of Israel: " (Rev. 7:4)

Now Israel is only "one" nation. John heard people from EVERY NATION made to be a kingdom and priests. John is VERY clear when he says 144,000 are from EVERY TRIBE of the ONE nation, Israel. In addition to that, if the 144,000 is a literal number, then their "description" of which tribes they are from, must ALSO be literal. OR, 144,000 is symbolic, then the tribes are also symbolic. But then, if its symbolic, then the "great multitude" from "every nation" is ALSO symbolic.

Both of them were purchased from the earth by the Lamb according to Rev. 14:4; 5:9, 10. Now, unless someone wants to be BOLD and say, "Not all of us were purchased by the blood of the Lamb," John is very clear as to who each one is and where they will be.

As regards them all being "male" keep in mind that "There can be neither Jew nor Greek, there can be neither bond nor free, there can be neither MALE NOR FEMALE; for you ALL are ONE MAN in Christ Jesus.
