Our Lord Jesus wasn't Lutheran, he was a "Christ." I supposed he's not going to heaven either, huh?
Peace,
Aaron
just had a conversation with a friend who is going to pre-marriage classes at her soon to be husband's lutheran church.
she (a methodist) says that she is causing quite an uproar because she keeps asking questions and the minister told her off at her last class.
she questioned his statement that a person cannot understand the bible properly unless they are lutheran.
Our Lord Jesus wasn't Lutheran, he was a "Christ." I supposed he's not going to heaven either, huh?

after the lord had drowned every living thing on the surface of the earth except noah and his family and the animals brought to the ark, he told noah that from that time forth there would be no more apocalyptic floods, and as a token of his good intentions the lord would create the rainbow:.
and god...spake unto noah, and to his sons with him, saying...i establish my covenant with you.... neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of a flood; neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth.
and god said, this is the token of the covenant which i make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations: i do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth.
Dearest Joesph,
you are in error. NO WHERE in that scripture does it say that "bow" was the 'first bow' seen in the earth. Apparently, you ASSUMED it was the first bow. Hence, the error in in you, not my Father, and not in what he did.
And just so you know.. there was no 'water-canopy' green house effect. Re-read the Genesis account in Genesis 1. It tells you the water above the 'firmament' was beyond the physical universe.
Gen. 1:12-16
Peace to you,
Aaron

the resurrection of life is the one the saints get in rev 20:6. the rest get a resurrection of judgment, not life, and on earth.
>the rest get a resurrection of judgment, not life, and on earth.
When they die, they have paid.
This is incorrect. Only the Lamb can pay your debt. No one ese can pay for his own debt. When they are thrown into the Lake, they are destroyed in 'debt' because they cannot and WOULD NOT accept the free gift offered.
Only the blood of the Lamb can cover sins.. nothing and NO ONE else... save the Father himself.

Aaron
*** rbi8 ephesians 4:1-3 ***.
4 i, therefore, the prisoner in [the] lord, entreat you to walk worthily of the calling with which you were called, 2 with complete lowliness of mind and mildness, with long-suffering, putting up with one another in love, 3 earnestly endeavoring to observe the oneness of the spirit in the uniting bond of peace.
jehovahs witnesses are a united people.
Hi YoYoMama,
It says walk worthily of your calling...... have you been 'anointed' and thus "called?"
why is it in the bible that it does say that jesus said to take the bread and the wine in the last supper, but he doesn't say its restricted only to the 144,000 going to heaven?
he was talking to his apostles of course, so does that mean only the elders, and anointed should do this?
i have looked in the bible on who should and shouldn't do this and have found nothing.
Deaer serenaj92,
The reason Jesus did not say that was because he wanted ANYONE to "eat [his] flesh and drink [his] blood" so that they would "live foever."
All who want to live forever MUST eat and drink.... otherwise, "you have NO life in you."
John 6:48-58
Matthew 26:26-28
Show that scripture to a JW... and they run screaming, lol!
Peace,
Aaron
the best evidence that the bible teaches that the earth is flat is found in the following passages.
the first is in matthew: .
"[t]he devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them".
There is more than one "earth"... which earth you talking about?
The physical one, or the spirit one?
Ecclesiates 1:8-10
Peace to you,
Aaron
if at the end when jesus comes to make justice on earth and it turns out that jehovah's witnesses was the one true path, what would you say to him?.
notice i said if...
Well, Jehovah's Witnesses CAN NOT be the "true path" because Jesus, the REAL Jesus said HE was the 'true path' saying....
"I am the WAY, and the truth, and the life..."
Also, Jehovah's Witnesses claim to be the 'truth.'
Jesus said:
"I am the way, and THE TRUTH, and the life.."
"You will know the truth and the truth will set you free."
"Therefore if the Son sets you free you will actually be free."
John 14:6
John 8:32, 36
And Jesus knew religions would come saying "we are the truth, we are the true path" and Jesus said RESPECTING THEM:
"All those who come IN PLACE OF ME are thieves and plunderers."
John 10:8
So Jesus already identified what kind of people JWs really are.. so its not possible for him to say "they are the truth" and "they are the path" when only HE himself is 'the truth,' and 'the path.'
If a "Jesus" did say that, he is an imposter and an Anti-christ, with which the Lord Jesus will do away with the spirit of his mouth.
Peace!
Aaron
as someone who was once associated with the wt (over 30 years) i have to say i am in a quandary.
with world events shaping up as they are i keep reflecting on many things i learned as a jw and some of the pieces fit together.
however, the many things i have learned about the organization upon chosing to leave have me stumped.. how can an organization put out teachings about the "scarlet colored wild beast", apply it to the un and yet be a ngo of that organization?.
Dear Lollylou,
Here's what our Lord said regarding such things as you are seeing:
"The scribes and the Pharisees seated themselves on the seat of Moses
so whatever they tell you practice and observe, but NOT what they do; for they preach, but do not practice.
They bind heavy burdens, hard to bear, and lay them on men's shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with their finger.
They do all their deeds to be seen by men; for they make their phylacteries broad and their fringes long,
and they love the place of honor at feasts and the best seats in the synagogues,
and salutations in the market places, and being called rabbi by men.
But you are not to be called rabbi, for you have one teacher, and you are all brethren. "
Jesus told us to listen to the basic "truths" of those scribes and pharisees, but DO NOT do according to their works. All the things the scriptures say to us about Christ, we should practice and observe, but we should NOT do the hypocritical 'works' of the WTBTS. For they too posses the 'spirit' of the scribes and Pharisees.
If you read the whole chapter of Matthew 23 you will SEE that they are one in the same with the WTBTS.
Peace to you,
Aaron
memorial.....the time of year where we meditate on the supposed significance of jesus' death and watch all types of crazy mufuckas come out of the woodwork.
anyway, we had a new sister move into our territory and lo and behold claims she's of the anointed.
she was all of 40 years old, 350 pounds, friendly, feels that the friends should treat her with special reverence "since she's one of christ's brothers" (wouldn't that be sisters?).
"Many will come on the basis of my name saying 'I am anointed' and will MISLEAD MANY."
we are made in god's image and he is a person, not just some invisible, omnipresent force.
here is some more research for those who love to ask questions yet won't do the digging.. the bible consistently portrays god as a passionate individual, whose inner experiences of love, compassion, grief, delight, joy, peace, anguish, and moral outrage at atrocity dwarf ours in the extreme.
the bible makes no apology for this, but rather exults in the living one, in contrast to the dead and lifeless idols that surrounded its writers.. one scholar put it thus:.
We are made in God's image
Actually, we are in Adam's rebellious image.
Peace,
Aaron
