i was thinking about this today, many of the things i was told.
about life was a lie.
we were duped by the wt and by religion as.
good topic jam...
I look at it from perspective of having young children that are still associated with the jdubs because of their mother. I like to tell them that our job as parents is to teach them to use their head. To ask questions and not stop until it makes sense. That understanding will of course grow with them but if something doesnt feel right even when they are young then there is a reason it doesnt. My wife and I just joined a church right down the road from us simply because it shows them a different angle and also because they see the "worldy" people at this church of christendom and it doesnt jive with what they hear at the kingdom hall with their mother. When they hear at the kingdom hall that you have to pay to go to church, We can walk with them up to the pastor and directly ask him "how much do we have to pay to come here?" When the pastor said "absolutely nothing" that was more powerful than me telling my kids a hundred times that you dont have to pay money to a church. While I am not a fan of any organized religion I can see the merit in being involved, being part of the community of church.
I am of the opinion if I tried to completely remove the jdubs from their lives then the jdub life may become the forbidden fruit. I want them to be able to objectively look at the jdubs or any other church for that matter and be able to say "no thanks" In my view you cant say, have an open mind, be a critical thinker and on the other hand tell them to stay away from the jdubs. Its like I tell my kids, if someone doesnt want you to learn something or read a certain book its because they are hiding something from you. Dont limit yourself.

i have never heard this before until i read a life story of an ex-jws and how some jws in the past refused to eat pepperoni pizza because they thought blood was in pepperoni.
i do know some elderly jw sisters would complain about eating steak if it bled while cooking.
has anybody else heard of this pizza nonsense?.
Where the eff are you guys from? I am in Wisconsin and have never heard of this stuff??
Pepperoni with blood in it?? Now I have heard everything! (although i am sure there is more bat shit crazy ideas that I have missed)

what did you decide to do?.
leave with a bang, trying to educate those around you before leaving?
perhaps writing letters to others forgiving/ asking for forgiveness.. or.
Have kids and an uber dub ex-wife. Could not afford to fade. Im a pretty firm beleiver that if you have kids you cannot afford to fade. I still have contact w/ family on the inside. Trying to make progress with them but they are def still motivated by fear of "losing all the good friendships"

the yahoo7 web-site (aussie version) carries an item with this heading.. find it at:.
its clear (to me, anyway) that big changes are coming, and have been in the pipe-line for at least 5 years.
it was about that long ago, that i noticed a news report saying that the guangdong (provincial) govt.
It will help bring manufacturing jobs back to America! Although we americans will not work them because they will still not be high paying jobs that provide $70,000/year with another $30,000 in benefits.
zid... we can switch to getting shoes from the USA! The "problem" is that you have to pay for them and the living wage, insurance and pensions that it takes to make them if you want US made products. That is the trade off. I am not saying i am for or against cheap goods or that I am for or against living wages, insurance or pensions. There is a reason we have cheap products in our country and its because WE want them. Its not because Sam Walton wanted us to have them, its because we wanted them and Sam Walton figured out a way to give it to us. Simple economics

so i had my two daughters with me this weekend (their jw mom has them the next one) and it was saturday morning around 10am and i said let's have a short "daddy school" on how to do research on the internet.
so they were plopped on each side of me and my laptop and i was inbetween and was showing them how you can type in "jehovah's witnesses" or "watchtower society" and get lots of vids off youtube on these things and that they can always do their own research if they have any questions on the things they hear at the kh when their mother takes them.. so we were watching one and right then there was a knock at the door and it was two teenage jw girls (from a neighboring cong) offering the magazines... very funny!
my oldest got rid of them and they were giggling and laughing about how weird it was that they would show up right then.. the jws are popping up everywhere in my life lately, ie, at the store, at the mall, at the gym, etc.
Ray, I agree, show them how to do research and yes the mother will probably amp up her devoutness. I would suggest not only teaching them critical thinking skills but also fill their lives up all that life has to offer! B-days, holidays, sleepovers with "worldly kids", sports, band, orchestra, student council or anything else that schools or communities have to offer. That has worked wonders for my children. They have so much to fill up their lives that they look at the jdub world now and IT is the odd world, not the other way around. Their mother is getting more and more strict but after they are exposed to what a normal life looks like they will never choose the jw world.
Good luck!

hello, i found this info interesting from a spanish xjw site and thought it may be of interest to you too?
i used bing language translator.
i assume when the post below refers to commissions judicatives, they may be referring to jc?.
Hey yomamma... I would disagree with you on the mass exodus. I know it sounds weird but if the threat of shunning is lifted than people dont have to hide their true thoughts and feelings. Seperate from the blood issue, the jw would just fall in line with the other many other religions that oddly enough people want to worship in. The religion becomes somewhat mainstream. No coersion thru fear so no reason to leave if you dont agree with everyone else. People really do want to belong to a religion and from the many comments on this board.... many witnesses still beleive that "JW's follow the bible the closest even thought they get some things wrong" (excuse me as i just threw up a little in my mouth)

i see a lot of posts about lack of zeal, slacking in fs, just going through the motions...........i have really not seen that in my old congregation up to the time i stopped attending two yrs ago, but i believe that could be the exception.
however, a bethel career sister and a young local brother, a ms and doing all the right things in the congregation (who i was friends with) stopped at my house, caught me up with chit chat and this young bro told me about his changing jobs because he wanted a retirement.
about 38 years ago when i was his age i never believed i would need a retirement in this "old system.
pontoon..... The wife and I went up north this weekend to see some of her friends. One of her friends was raised a dub although she got out much sooner than me, i think when she was 16. It was interesting to talk with her about how when we were both young we both felt that there was no way we were going to see 20 years old. I remember making a bet with someone that we would not see our 20th birthday in this system.
Its good to see that people are waking up even if they dont fully realize it yet.

thats my opinion because the wts really has been preaching false information now for so long about the end times and armageddon soon.. also the doctrine that jesus chirt has taken a position over his earthly and heavenly kingdom in 1914 .... etc.
its been a winfall marketing scheme for such a long time, which now really doesn't have much leg to stand on.. time in conjunction with reality has made the wts's doctrines redundantly weak or useless more or less.. i'm even believing the leaders of the wts are even starting to know this for themselves.. the wts future and its main supporting pieces of literature, the watchtower and awake magazines may eventually be tossed aside.
for some new doctrines as well newly named pieces of literature .
Hey Gladiator... I agree bro.... I think that enough people will always fight on for the truth. But clearly the dumbing down is in full effect. As soon as the shunning is pushed by the wayside, they will be another harmless little offshoot religion. When shunning and the blood doctrine are turned into conscience matters I would even .... well I wont go that far.
