it s often not imaginable for me, to think that single jws live a life of abstinence.

i mean at the end of the day we are all humans with desires and wishes.

most singles are not trained to be like monks from tibet or stuff.. so what s the secret behind it?

Some people just have weaker sex drives than others.

I am an atheist and have no religious reasons not to have sex. But I'm celibate simply because I don't have much of a sex drive at ALL.

So it's not unimaginable to me for people to be celibate when under the threat of divine wrath, shunning and death. Since I'm celibate without those worries.

Maybe you are just at the other end of the bell curve and it's a lot harder for you to abstain than for most other people. And it's only hard for you to imagine because you think everyone else has urges as powerful as your own.

A little late for that isn't it? None of the people responsible for the bombing will be the ones apologizing.

It happened 45 years before I was even born. . . Should I apologize?

It even happened 16 years before Obama was born. . . would an apology from him even mean anything?

Truman, the only guy from whom an apology would mean anything, has been dead for 38 years. . . he died before I was born.

So sure, I don't care if we apologize, I think the survivors deserve an apology from the people who dropped the bomb and the japanese government who got them into that mess, but they're never gonna get the apology they deserve since the people responsible are all dead.

Same goes for Pearl Harbor, Admiral Yamamoto would be the one to apologize, but he died in 1943. . . Who the heck else would we expect an apology from?

This whole concept of expecting apologies from people who were not involved for things that happened 60 years ago is childish and stupid.

They may be under stress, or they may view your mistakes as a failure on their part. Rather than dwelling on what you feel is an injustice, why not show appreciation for their earnest desire to be helpful?

Focus on what is said, not on how it is delivered. Then, rephrase your parents’ comments in your own words and respectfully repeat their remarks back to them.

Parent: "Go to your room and don't come out until it's clean!"

Youth: "So your saying I should not leave my room until it is clean. Does that include comming out for meals?"

Parent: "Don't backsass me!"

Youth: "So your saying that I should not backsass you? I understand that you under a lot of stress and are percieving my responses as disrespecful. You may view my behavior as a reflection of the failures in your abilities as a parent. While I assure you it was not my intention to backsass you I appreciate your desire to be helpful. "

Seriously though, what age group is this magazine targeted at? The information on how to deal with your parents seems to be directed at 5 year old mini-psychologists who somehow are unable to grasp the concept that parents make rules to protect you, but at the same time understand how a line of credit works.

Meanwhile the part on money seems to be directed at 18 year old retards who are to stupid to realize on their own that they can compare prices, have a limited amount of money and can ask adults for advice. Unless I'm horribly mistaken you cannot get a credit card until you are 18. . .

Any 12 year old should be saying "well duh" to this guidance from gods word.

400,000 year old human tooth?

I have yet to read what method was used to date the tooth. Certainly, C14 will not go that far back, if indeed it could be used on a tooth.

The article says the team "dated them according to the layers of earth where they were found. "

So if it was found in an undisturbed layer of stratum that was deposited 400k years ago, it's unlikely to be newer than the dirt that was deposited on top of it.

Lets say you know a volcano erupted in an area 20 years ago, and you find a ring under the ash from that eruption. If there are no signs that is was buried there after the fact it means that is was laying there before the eruption, so the ring is at least 20 years old.

Not that I know ANYTHING about this tooth or the dirt it was found in. I'm just explaining the dating technique the article says they used.

Me not having electricity does not mean Google does not exist, it just prevents me from communicating with it. Which most theists will agree on: The lack of response does not equal lack of a god.

And if all the satellites just 'fell out of the sky' at the same time then that probably means a new god is kicking the current gods' butt, cause that kind of thing doesn't just happen on its own. Even a solar flare would only wipe out the satellites over the half of the earth it hits.

(Also we have land lines and radio towers to fall back on in the case of emergencies.)

Additionally even if ALL communication was taken out somehow, the information is still there in servers all over the world just waiting to be brought back to life with the flip of a switch.

Imagine you lived 500 years ago and you wanted to know if it's safe to give your dog a piece of your chocolate bar.

You ask the guy next to you. . . He doesn't know.

You ask your dog. . . He says: "YES YES YES GIMME"

You go outside and ask some random guy on the street. He doesn't have a dog.

You can clasp your hands and pray for the answer. No response.

You have just exhausted your knowledge base. Sure you could go to a library. But how the heck are you supposed to find that particular piece of information? You could ask a vet and hope he knows. He may or may not.

But NOW if you want to know if it's safe to give your dog a piece of chocolate you can just go to google and type in: "Dog Cho______"

You don't even have to finish typing it in and google is giving you your answer on the very first link. Because not only does it know the answer to your question, it knows what you are about to ask.

Google has God beat big time.
