i don't know how many times i have heard that lie from the platform.
i have heard that line of rubbish at big and great boasting sessions as well.
the witlesses act as if they get as many toys as worldly people, just scattered throughout the year.. now, i have seen many cases where that simply isn't true.
I didn't get presents.
I got an allowance, and any non neccesary things I recieved were bought using that allowance.
I'm not actually complaining, allowance is cool and it's not like they HAD to give it to me.
But as far as the 'who needs birthdays/christmas, I get gifts all year!' argument? Bullcrap.
all documents of important nature such as, our kingdom ministry, boe letters, forms, or other materials will now be sent only by email or private message communications.

I don't think that decision was influenced by the title since I just popped all three of them open at the same time and listened to them in no particular order. Didn't really realize what it was called until it was over.
at my moms i watched the video in croatian and as i waited for the now famous "sparlock" line...it was replaced by "mitadoor.
" there is no grammatical reason why they cant use the name sparlock....perhaps for legal reasons as a company has that name....and ofcourse you guys made it famous on youtube!

Well, I don't speek Croatian.
But obviously Sparlock is a combination of the words Sparring and Warlock.
That would only be noticable to English audiences.
Maybe Mitigor is a similar pun. Which would only be noticable to Croation listeners.

Not sure there are any atheists preaching antitheism on subway platforms. But there is a subreddit called r/atheism which is quite often filled with people poking fun at religious beliefs.
im an ex jw, out 3yrs after spending 24yrs of my life in the organisation.
i spend most of my time on fb exposing the org and having conversations with active jws.
i have recently agree to a 'bible study' with a woman, a grandmother, who is a regular pioneer and has only been a jw for 5yrs.
She came back with this reply...."Jehovah's Witnesses do not 'shun'.

sure i grew up in a bigoted cult who hates gay people.. now i'm an atheist who has no reason to care about anyones sexual prefferences.. .
but i've watched inverviews of trans people.

I don't see a strong argument against amputating someone's hands, except to the extent that it prevents them from living as a normal human being...
I think doctors who took an oath to 'do no harm' are under a certain obligation to make sure that they aren't performing damaging surgeries at the request of a person in poor mental health.
What if you cut off his hands and he's thrilled. Then next year we find a simple pill which removes his mental disorder. Or we remove a deadly brain tumor which caused the initial problem. Then he's healthy again, and realizes that the doctor amputated his hands because of a treatable mental condition.
I don't think think people with mental disorders should be held accountable for their decisions made while impaired. The doctor in this case should be responsible.
