  And if Jehovah can ressurect people, why did it matter if Satan killed him?

  But I agree with you. Satan would have no motivation to kill Job.

  Locked out of Eden

  why did jehovah have to protect the enterence to eden with a flaming sword after kicking adam and eve out when all one had to do to get back in was to hop over the fence further up the road?.

  one of the bible's mysteries..

  Change the Channel!

  on another thread band on the run mentioned the jw habit of changing the channel on tv abruptly whenever something spiritually reprehensible might pop up.. recently, when i was visiting a family member, they changed the channel from sumo wrestling so that we would not see such obscene nudity.. of course, as soon as i left the room the channel would switch back.

  id come in and it would switch again.

  this made for a semi entertaining game of seeing how close i could get before the channel changed.

  Any time there was a nature show on that involved evolution my dad would change the channel.

  (And lets face it, it's pretty hard to discuss nature without the topic coming up)

  2009 Annual Report needed!

  hi friends:.

  .. barbara needs scans of the 2009 yearbook annual report which would show the numbers for the previous year of 2008. she is interested in finding out how many congregations there were in the united states and canada.

  i don't have the 2009 yearbook or i would have already sent her the info.. .. could someone help us out with a couple of scans of that information?

  Oh, my post didn't show up last night.

  I attempted to ask if there was anything wrong with the online version: http://wol.jw.org/en/wol/d/r1/lp-e/302009018

  It goes all the way back to 2000 (which has the figures for 1999)

  But now I see that it doesn't seperate it by country.

  did I see jesus?

  so we have had a bit of rain today.

  but the sun peeked out and was setting to the west.

  i stepped out to the front yard and saw on the top of the foothills at least 10 miles away what appeared to be a burning cross.

  The cross is a common christian symbol, today.

  It was a common christian symbol in the 1920s as well. But not a burning cross.

  A burning cross was and still is viewed as blasphemous by most christians.

  I'm not sure I understand. Are you saying it IS a utility pole being lit up by the sun?

  While not appearing in the bible the burning cross was used in scottland to declare war and rally the troops.

  It was also used by the KKK to intimidate people.

  If it was a sign, it might not be the god you were expecting.

  hey guys!

  i hope that everyone is still holding on amidst all the struggles.. i know that there are parents, older ones, middle age and younger ones here.. sooo, my question isss- what age did you start dating and what age do you truly believe people should start dating?

  I have never dated.

  But I think children should be able to start at around 13 if they feel so inclined.

  And by that I mean, any earlier than that and I would probably question their parenting. Not that they should be legally unable to date or that the rule applies to everyone.
