what is the stupidest thing a jw ever told you?
we all know that they say a lot of stupid things, but what really topped the cake?.
for me, it was an elder telling me i was progressing really well when my meeting attendance was down and my field service hours were slipping.
An elder [dick schroder] came to my house to "encourage me" ,I started to ask a lot of questions that were not friendly to the org.
He started to rub his head and went to the door saying " their will be many people who think for themselves that die at armageddon
and then left.
I just stood there thinking what the hell just happened. I thought that these guys had all the answers
penny lounsberry used to bring a convicted child molester to the hall , she has 4 kids 2girls and 2boys
when others would rais concern she would get upset and say jesus died for everyone and walk away. by the way the family wont work and lives on welfair. thair property is the type where the home has tires and the cars dont.
this is a funny story the i have to go back and do some history so that you can understand where i am coming from.

he stopped going to meetings in his early teens.. dan could never give up being a jw but at the same time he did not like all the rules that intruded into his personal life.. he would go to meetings when he got into trouble to smooth over everything with the borg.. at one point he stopped going all together and started to have his own personal meetings at his house and would conduct his own studys and talks.. dan died a couple of years ago.

So now to the rest of the story. The youngest girl is a cleaning lady jessy. [wow what a shock a jw cleaning lady] .
My brother and his girl friend ask her to clean his house, they ask jessy because
she is a relative of ours, and he wants to help the family out when he can.
When she comes to the door she was told that it would be open and go in and what to do.
My brother has a small sign on the door that says no jehovah’s .
So when he gets home there is a note on the door that says I am very disturbed at the sign about no jehovah’s and being that I am one I can not work for you.
I was a dubber for 30 years and it still amazes me that they spent thousands of hours knocking on doors telling people that their religion is wrong but when you in any way criticize their religion look out all hell is to pay.
Just another way that the dubbers are Hippocrates .
The other thing that is hard for me to realize is that a family that wanted nothing to do with the cult when dan was alive [even dan wanted nothing to do with it when he was alive , I do not know why he played with it at all except he was raised in the cult. ] and now that he is dead they act like they personally held c.t. russells hand in the 19 th century when his halo was given him.
The cult has so much of a grasp on peoples minds it amazes me.
I feel so free to be able to see the Hypocreaceae of the cult and finally have an open mind and be able to look at things from several different angles for myself.

how long did it take you to adjust to the real world ???

At first it was like being in a new world. no punn intended. scared and alone , I felt that if I started to get involved in christmas or holloween or some other normal activity, that I was a bad person. even though I did not believe. Slowley I started to feel more at home with becoming part of the world around me. my life awoke from the dead. I was not a bad person because I saw a r movie. or gave my wife a christmas present. selebrated my birth day. This more than anything else helped me to see how controled I really was. I became more angry. bitter. I feel better about myself. and they can not [I will not allow them to ] throw giult on me any more. I will live my life and if someone says that I an not a good person because I do not bow to the old man behind the curtian SCREW THEM IN THE MOUTH. It is thair problem. the lunitics will not tell me how crazy I am any more. this cat if free for life. After leaveing the cult I do think I can get past it. much like a rape victim, you may get past it but it will always be there. You just buy a big dam gun and shoot the rapist the next time thay try to screw you. lol
when i first was studying with the duds, one of the things i found interesting is that duds are ok with drinking alcohol, "in moderation".
i never was a big drinker, usually one drink if i'm out and will have to drive and no more than three in any 24 hour period, even if i'm staying home.. i wonder if the fact the "the judge" was a rumpot contributed to the soft attitude on alcohol?
most of the brothers i knew were big drinkers and many of the older elders drank more with dinner that i drink in a weekend.
aint that the turth, I can remember at the richie family reunion in lapier mich. jerry woods my father in law would grab a beer after beer with the rest of the heathons and say DONT TELL ME WITNESSES CANT DRINK, we all just laguhed at him. but we did that if he was drinking or not.

some of these lists are great. can some one go through and make a long list of all the relevent ones mentioned? this would be great to have printed to give to people who want to show something to jws when they come to the door you could follow them to thair 4 door cars ripping off one liner after one liner, you would have to start joging as they would run to the 4 doors.

howcome the wts does not include personal testimonies in their meetings (i mean, ones that have not been edited by the writing department)?
oftentimes when i am preparing for an instructional course, i go looking for a sample completed form.
in order that my students are not led astray, i try and find the perfect sample.
one of the main threads of the dubber thought is to play down [way down] the individual. the body, the whole, the org, is the most important. just like in japan [imperial] that the individual is expendable. the same with the org. as a single sheep you mean nothing in the sceem of things. how many times have we all heard the reason for not celebrating birthdays was because it promotes the self. they forget the parable of the one sheep being found by the shepard and the rejoicing. they only use that to get ones that left to think about coming back, than they want you to sit down and shut up.
