Governing Body; Villians or just Deluded?

are you sometimes dumbfounded at the direction the governing body takes?.

thousands of documents proving 607 bce is wrong, yet the gb sticks to the date, why?.

Something that for me discredits the sincerity of the GB is for the most part they are not on the front lines of the preaching activity. Not enduring hardship like some witnesses around the world are, not in Russia supporting brothers under ban, not working in third and forth world countries where just their presense would spark the work and encourage the brothers, not witnessing 150 hours a month like my sister and brother used to do, not making do with wore out cars and frugal living condidtions. No.....they all have easy lives, new cars with drivers if they want, medical, full bellies, expensive new facilities, no expence spared, and dozens of young brothers dying to be a helper to the GB and do their whatever work they are assigned. Where is the self sacraficing life?

I think for a lot of the society heavy weights that started out in bethel or the farm or.....their rise to watchtower hierarchy is simply their chosen career path. Talks, handshaken, small talk, phoney praises, sitting on comitties, feeling self important is a good fit for some.

DPA Blood ASAP

i am in need of the current copy of the newest dpa blood card as some of the jw's in my mothers congregation are asking about if she signed the latest copy after she passed today.

i am curious as to why they are asking about this specifically and not offering condolences on the loss of my mother.

there has been some shady interactions leading to my mother requesting me to talk to certain elders to request that certain people not interact with her further.

DesirousOfChange answered the question with one line, "follow the money." That's it, they will evaluate their bottom line and decide which way is more profitable. Anyone know what their monthly $$,$$$,$$$ take is now compared to before Covid? Assemblies, conventions, renting of their assembly halls = huge monthly income. Hard to believe they can come close to that zooming .

Threating to Sue

what is the wt doing these days if someone das but threatens to sue if the elders make an announcement that leads to shunning?.

i know the elders are supposed to notify the legal department, but what is the legal department telling them to do?.

I can remember 3 local judicial cases when I was an elder when the accused threatened legal action to not be DF'd. All 3 times legal told us to drop it. Accused brothers lost any priviledges including answering at wat. study and in one case we were threatened and had to call on him at study. That was as far as he went with it, didnt try to get back on the school.

over the years watchtower has turned into a real joke in the world scene.

with the lawsuits, downsizing and decreasing numbers.

what they use to be is gone and they will never recover the numbers they once had.

All previous posts maybe true, also what is true is the money just keeps pouring in and cant spend it fast enough. Another multi-million dollar project in the works, a state of the art media production facility. As long as the money is pouring in watchtower is good, anything negetive is persecution which proves we are right.

So JW's don't use idols, or you could say symbols in their worship, but go ahead down to the corner grocery/liquor store and buy symbols of Jesus body and blood.
