It can go either way for her. Mainly I think it will depend on who they knew as far as Org heavyweights go. Of course with hubby gone she loses some pull. Who does she know, and who does that person know....to put a word in for her to get called into bethel or offered a paid pioneer position. That is what it will boil down to.

my perception after observing this site for a short time is that posters here are much better informed and articulate than the witnesses i encountered.

growing up there were contradictory messages.

in fact, my grades were a witness than jws were better than my school peers.

All of this and at the same time the Org is so proud of their technology, bragged about Mepps, how they are leaders in construction (tilt-ups), how their new facility will be "green" and on & on... They absolutely rely on their lawyers. I knew one of them. Deceased now, but he gave me my first tour of Patterson while it was still under construction. He moved his family from NH to Patterson and went to work for the Org. full time. Durning that time at least one of his children went to school and is now a practicing lawyer. So in reality they love education if it SUITS them. That what its all about. Whats good for the Org.

I attended two congregations with Audrey Hyde who used to be Audrey Knorr. She didn't talk much about life with Knorr but a do remember one D2D story that she had with N Knorr that she shared with us. I can't say how often he got out in D2D.

Anyone Know JW's who Donated Inheritances, Estates,$$$ to WT Society ?

if so - without divulging any names , approximately how much was donated to the wt society ?

if you are aware of approximate amounts.

as many know the wt society yearly puts out calls in their publications for witnesses to donate trust funds, wills, inheritances, estates, jewelry, cars and whatever else they have to promote the aleged " kingdom interests " in furthering the " good news " around the world.. personally i feel it's all been a scam to continue exercising control over witnesses by influencing them to financially deprive themselves so the wt society can continue it's operations.

Seems this thread has been around for a while so I'll add my two cents to it. I knew the brother that moved here (Walkill, NY) from California, bought a big place (land 200--350 acres forget exactly, house, buildings, cottages, lake) right next to Farm II (cattle farm) and some years latter gave it to Watchtower. Worth millions. I know people that donated the land for KH's. When I used to be on RBC I worked on some projects where the land was donated. Now, in Palm Beach Fla. there was a old sister (widowed I believe) who lived with her old brother in a mansion on the Alantic side. I had heard (reliable source) that she and her money would sometimes be used by the Society when the Society wanted to keep their business undercover. Anyway, she passed on, left enough for her brother to live and maintain the mansion and at his passing everything went to Society. Don't know how many millions that was.

i kinda figured i would read many negative things concerning jw, i was not disapointed............ i say if you ae not happy not just in the jw, but anywhere, life it too short move on.. .

i myself am a wittness, an anointed witnes .

there is no shame is sharing yr hope and i am varry happy with mine.
