Poster country flags and privacy
by Simon inthe new forum originally had a little country flag next to each post showing the country that the post was made from based on the geoip encoding (the country the ip address is from).
before i switched over to the new site someone made an issue about it violating their privacy and i didn't want to complicate and confuse the switchover with policy debate at the same time as technical issues so removed the flags even though i disagreed.. someone has already requested it as a feature and i think it should be added back so i thought it's now time to open the discussion and get everyone's opinions.
first, the reason i think it should be shown:.

Proud JW.ORG Photos everyone needs to see! The Watchtower Sanctified the Internet for Preaching!
by Trailer Park Pioneer ini am proud to be a jehovah's witness in the last days, what religion has done this much to proclaim the message about the organization?
other religions are preaching about jesus, some wear the crucifixion, other's wear shirts with fishes but we wear shirts with jw.org!
no other religion has our courage!.

Reminds me of when I used to be involved with builds. We weren't allowed to wear shirts with the name of a supply house, contractor, product,...etc. because it was a form of idolatry. Remember, no posters of an actor or sports person on your wall because it was idolatry. Guess JW.Org is different. Bunch of crap, all of it. -

Sign-in fix for IE users
by Simon ini think i finally tracked down the bug that was affecting ie users - you should now be able to sign in and use the site.
i've only had chance to test with ie 11 but it should work with ie 10 as well, i'm not sure about ie 9 and ie 8 or older is doubtful.. fingers crossed we get some replies from ie'ers.
note: there may still be other issues but the first and biggest hurdle is getting signed on..

Sign up on laptop with Windows worked well although it doesn't always keep me signed in. On my Android device the sign in button doesn't work for me. It also rejects my username when I substitute it for my email address.
Great job Simon, thank you

Refering back to pgh, 7 above, picking blueberries as a comuter or helper at Wat Farm is sacred service too-----but only if you're a pioneer. What a load of crap.

More Money For JW.ORG
by The Searcher inmy apologies if this topic has previously been spotlighted.. the following is a portion of the the recent money-grabbing letter from jw.org.
it's on page 4 - one of the three pages which only the elders were allowed to read.. "surplus funds: is it necessary to save congregation funds for future construction or major renovation projects?
what should be done with excess congregation funds that are currently being held or that may accumulate in the future?

Money making machine. Anyone who thinks they are going broke with lawsuits, lack of support...., whatever is kidding themselves. If lack of money was an issue they wouldn't have 10's of millions $$$ projects in progress and 10's ........$$$$$$$$ on the drawing boards. That's right, hugh planned expansion being designed for Patterson. They can't spend it all fast enough.

Just for the record a commercial company is doing the bulk if not all of the concrete work---footings, foundations. They have been on site probably more than a year. About 10 cranes most likly with operators earning big bucks. Tons of equipment from United Rentals. This is a hugh project. Projects also going on at Wat Farms. They can't spend their money fast enough.
