How do they get away with "New Light"?

one thing that bothers me greatly is the fact that they can change their policies and beliefs and just say its "new light" and no one bats an eyelid.. there are many scriptures such as isaiah 40:8 "the word of god will last to time indefinite.

" or hebrews 6:18 "it is impossible for god to lie".

if he is "spirit directing" the borg then there should be no need for new light..

Agree with comments but also realize many WANT to believe,---Armeggedon not here yet, overlapping generations that explains that, number of partakers growing, people are misguided. Easier for many to accept the changes then admit they were misguided and cut their losses and run.

Watchtower deficits are not real. The same as when you walk into your circuit assembly hall ---the first day "we have a deficit of $$$$$" Not possible, made up fake accounts report.

I also believe the corp is run by people in the background but it's the GB that sells the changes to the millions of believers and gets away with it. Also I knew a full time bethel lawyer that was paid. The corp has put bethelites through higher education to meet certain needs. When Schroeder was a GB his son got some kind of business degree. This is a corp taking in millions and giving back nothing except a wish.....support and obey us and god might let you live.

Whoever says the GB are dumb, no matter what they say millions are waiting for their next utterance and thousands of congregations keep crediting the corps account.

Good example is 1975. Wat corp is bigger now then it was then. Now the mag reduction---witnesses are loving it. Corp has successfully changed from a huge printing operation to a huge internet and media real estate operation, all state of the art. Like other successful corporations Wat reinvents, adjusts, adapts it's business to keep the $$$$ rolling in. Most positive cash flow is from the properties (KH's & Assem Halls) around the world that local people pay to build, maintain, and then pay the corporation for the privilege to use it. Still buying high end properties around here in Hudson valley. GB are not dumb and stupid like so many think, they are devious geniuses. Not everyone in the corp works for free, they have some very smart attorneys, real estate people, IT, design engineers that were offered substantial "packages". to work full time for the corp. Staff reductions are because of reduction in printing, shipping, warehousing, and everything that goes along with such a huge printing business they use to do. High end housing complex overlooking the Hudson River is full of people working, probably keeping track of their multi million dollar money flow. I first got suspicious of the corp years ago when they had us stop doing the local accounts report once a month at the Kingdom Halls. Wouldn't be surprised if the GB and some other heavyweights receive financial compensation from the corp. Obvious the main focus of the GB is not preaching, if it was they would be doing what Jesus did, not sitting on their asses admiring the view of the lake.

I used to go out in service with him when he served my congregation as CO. Actually had an OK time with him. Was probably one of the better COs. Most of them I don't even remember, Lett I do.

A wat study comparing jeh to an ant, a rock badger and some other critter. I thought is this the best they got? But truth or not, just didn't want to do it anymore. Paradise in exchange for worshipping and praising jeh every day-------not for me

lots of contradictory and nutty comments - for instance stating one minute that 1914 proved such a faith strengthening event because it fulfilled all their predictions, how encouraged they were, and then a few minutes later claiming the opposite - that many were disappointed and shocked because their expectations were not met!.

You said that wrong. Jesus second presence and kingly rule began Oct 1914 as instructed by watchtower. If not for watchtower you would not have given it a thought. No, WWI did not start because Satan got kicked out of heaven.
