Never Hire A Jehovah's Witness!

if you are an employer, never hire a jehovah's witness.

the reason for this is simple: that mistake may cost you a lot of money!

you can bot expect a jehovah's witness to do what they are told to do, but you can expect them to do the oposite!

Knowing that I, his superior (but not his boss), is an exJW doesn't exactly make him behave better. He'll have to improve very soon to avoid getting the sack. His replacement, in case, will not be a JW if I have any say.

Any enterprising JW could apply for the position. When they don't get it they simply take your post quoted above to a workplace discrimination lawyer. They would make enough to pioneer for a couple years from that settlement!

there is so many fine, timely advices to get, and i simply cants understand all the people here whining about the watchtower being a mind controlling cult.

I have repeatedly stated that the WTBS is a highly controlling sect. We are in agreement on that.

My problem with some ex-jw's is their using the same methods as the WTBS while at the same time condemning them for the same. That my friend makes one a HYPOCRITE.

Next get together in Toronto!!! :-)

to make it easier for the out of towners (especially the ones driving in from the us), how does everyone feel about having our next get together on a saturday...say saturday, august 18th, starting at 4pm?

(i'll be working on the 11th and the 25th...).

Depends on where you are comingf from. NYC Boston etc you could come into Canada through Cornwall or the 1,000 Islands border crossing. Buffalo could be equally as fast. Those coming from Ohio and over, it might be faster to enter Canada through Detroit/Windsor (3.5-4 hrs from Toronto)

There are three border crossing points near Buffalo. Buffalo/Fort ERie via the Peace bridge located downtown Buffalo. Slightly north, Niagara Falls crossing via the Rainbow Bridge or 5 miutes further north in Lewiston/Queenston. Once crossing any of these look for signs for the QEW Toronto. Stay on that road and it will bring you right into the heart of the City (1-1.5 hours from the border.)

I have travelled a lot through all these points. If anyone needs specific directions feel free to ask here or by email. [email protected]

So peter we are going to have to pace ourselves..so we only drink half the keg on Saturday.... nah... we can get another one next month!!

ever notice how the folks who are the most prone to lob an insult or accusation over the fence are also those who hide behind a closely guarded psudonym while online?

and, the majority of their barbs are aimed at those of us who are comfortable enough to be here as ourselves, using our real names.

i know that there are many folks who use psudonyms to protect their identity from those within the organization whould would rat them out to the brooklyn feds, but many others just like to hide behind a facade and shoot their slings and arrows from far offstage.

no I would not agree. True You Know and Fred Hall both trolls in their own ways are highly insulting posters. But JanH and Kent over the years are notorious for their insults (some very eloquent but insults still the same) They are far worse in their consistent pattern of attacking the individuals. They controlled themselves for the first little while here at Simons but have again fallen back into their old pattern.

Case in point. the thread I started about Kent's posting of headlines. Yes I was attacking Kent's style but did not attack the man. Kent's first response..hey bigmouth!! Then of course Jan jumps in with his own insults despite the matter had pretty much being settled already. Then look at the manner in which he dealt with Prisca because she disagreed with him.

Me thinks you might want to re-think your heroes/examples. Your choice.

Oh I am sooo brave I use my real name... gag. SO it is okay to insult otheres as long as you use your real name when doing so? Me thinks you have the definition of bravery and stupidity confused.

Give me a break!!! Some obviously don't have as much to lose as others or simply don't care about their JW family members. Or perhaps you were publicly disfellowshipped and already have lost family and friends so it makes no difference to you.

Well good for you. Enjoy your freedom. Not all have that luxury.

Shame on you for condemning as cowards those who might actually want to enjoy their families.

It is so hilarious that the names you mentioned..well two of them especially are notorious for their personal attacks and insults... I guess that blows your theory doesn't it?

kent has recently undertaken posting more and more 'headlines' fashioned much like those found in tabloid rags such as the national inquirer.

such headlines skirt the issue but rarely are an accurate representation of the real story.. case in point a headlines such as:.

never marry a jw!

Make a comment to Kent, disagree with him Jan comes running to his defense full of insults and personal attacks.

Believe it or not I was impressed with the way Kent finally dealt with my post but then all teh other detractors had to jump into the frey and here we are... insult after insult, attack after attack.

As tempting as it may be I for one am not going to join in the mud wrestling pit. Unfortunately this thread has probably show many readers the personality of some participants...well at least their online personality. What they are like in real life means diddlysquat since most of us will never meet them in RL.

What matters to most is what they are like while hiding behind their computer screens (real name or not) and posting their comments. Perhaps if the alleged RL personalities were displayed online some of these issues would not need to be raised.
