a positive article on jw's in tuesday's edition of the toronto star that appeared to have obvious input and direction from the wt public affairs office left local jw's buzzing and glowing from some positive press for a change.
in some halls reference to it was made from the platforms.

A very excellent letter and response. Maybe some young JW's reading it may give it some thought. If anyone knows Randy they should give him the URL to this forum. If his letter is any indication I would think he would make a great contribution here.
I hope that the reprecussions from this letter are minimal for him personally from any JW family etc.

i am posting this for my friend jan groenveld in australia.
many of you know jan, some love her and some don't.
but she is a wonderful personal friend of mine and i want to see her web pages go on, they are helpful not just on the jw stuff, but on other cults.
I can't believe some of you would use this as an opportunity to take another kick at JanG.
I know how deep it hurts when a forum that you have put your time, and your heart into eds up either folding up or becoming a ghost of what it once was.
Jan's website has been of help to many people and it is a real shame that it is going to have to disappear. Jan's heart must be broken. I am sure the loving words of support here really have softened the emotional hurt for her. (sarcasm intended)
I too had a problem with the mailing lists a few years back. It was upsetting at the time. But for cripes sake show a little heart people! You couldn't manage even a 'thanks for the sincere efforts' or a "I am sorry that you can't keep it going." Would that have hurt you or been such a hardship? Is it really necessary to give another kick?

But alas this is not the proper forum for such discussions for it has little to do with Jehovah's Witnesses except insofar as they are too part of the 'human animal' kingdom.

Someone who is secure enough about himself not to worry whether someone else considers him a real man or not.
Battle of the sexes essentially is best explained this way.
Women have changed their opinions (as is their right ) about what they like in a mate. This changes frequently.
Men just hobble along trying to keep women happy ..I think we all know the reasons behind that. lol

Well so much for the headship principle that they espouse. How warped these people are in their thinking (or lack thereof) that they feel justified in hiding their daughter from her loving father yet don't seem to care about pedophiles in the congregation. Disgusting!
I would hope the media uses this to show the public that this is what JW's do. This is why the child was in need of protection by the State. Her mother would have fled the Country long ago and Mia would likely be dead had it not been for the intervention by the doctors and Child Welfare.
And that slimely weasle (no offense to the ferrets and other cute furry weasels) David Gnam as a representative of the Watchtower is sponsoring and encouraging this abduction/runaway.
