Most of ours ended up in the city dump, long before I ran across this site. I wish that hadn't happened because they would have been useful for research. Oh well, we still have Quotes.

Our Anniversary Surprise
by Mulan inyesterday, the kids surprised us with a sunset dinner cruise, as their gift to us for our anniversary.
it was very elegant, on the top deck of a large catamaran, dining vessel, off of waikiki and diamond head.
we had waiters (not a buffet) and great entertainment.

Let's see now. A lobster is trapped off the coast of Maine, shipped all the way to the islands, put on a boat off of Diamond Head, and prepared for Mulans' enjoyment. This had to be one expensive lobster !! On the other hand, from the things I've read by you and about you, you are worth every penny of it and then some. Glad you're having a good time. Bug.

Tolerance
by Xena inyou know most of us spend a large part of our lives in a religion that allowed for no independant thinking.
we were taught and taught others that ours was the only way and anyone who thought differently was going to be judged unworthy and die.
anyone who presumed to think outside the box was branded "apostate" or not good association.

A question arises: Is Nibiru real? The answer to that is a resounding "Yes". There are those who believe that the Anunnaki of Nibiru are coming back to Earth soon. They believe that Planet X is going to pass by Earth, in May or June of 2003, on its 3,600 year orbit around our sun. Such believers are terrified of the consequences that a close pass by Nibiru might bring. They fear this will cause earthquakes, tidal waves, severe flooding, food shortages due to climatic conditions, diseases, meteor fire storms, volcanic eruptions and the like.
Xena, I assume you are referring to the earlier thread started by Reporter. See above quote from that thread. I feel I can tolerate any belief, but this was so far over the edge that I felt I had to respond. Most of us have already been bamboozled by the borg and before I become too tolerant I would sure appreciate some scientific proof that Nibiru and Planet X actually exist.
Then we left that religion behind us. We did it for various reasons, but we did leave it. That is why is is so hard for me to comprehend how some can attack and ridicule others for their beliefs, beliefs that hurt no one
You are correct, perhaps my earlier post was a bit harsh, because very few people are likely to believe this stuff anyway. Having said that, I still want proof thise places exist. Bug

Benny Hinn, reminds me of the southern preacher who when faced with a lady who had kidney problems "cured" her. Well this rather elderly lady started jumping around shouting "praise Jesus" I'm cured. She got so excited she fell off the platform and broke her leg. At that point someone yells "call an ambulance." Someone else pointed out there was no need for an ambulance because they had brother "cure all" who could take care of the problem. At that point brother "cure all" got a worried look on his face and says " I don't do legs, just internal organs!"

I have been a fan of the Dallas Cowboys since 1966 when "bullet Bob Hayes" the worlds fastest human was drafted, by Dallas. I am still a fan of the Cowboys, but I'm am definitily not a fan of the current owner. It is really sad to see a team that enjoyed greatness so many years come to its' current state.
So, who will I be supporting in the playoffs ?? Two teams are at the top of the list, the Eagles and the Packers. I am not a fan of some of the Eagles fans who cheer when an opposing player is down with what could have put him in wheel chair for the rest of his life, or throw snow balls with batteries inside of them. However, I saw the coach interviewed a while back and he came across as a man any team would be proud to call "head coach." I wish him success
I like the Packers because of their unbelievable fans. These folks are there in the good years and in the not so good years. Besides, two of those fans are xenawarrier and heaven, both of whom I've met. My prediction is the Eagles will win the super bowl, if their quarterback returns, otherwise it's the packers. My dub training lets me come down on both sides of this, so I have some wiggle room.

day off
by teejay ini got a rare day off work.. luckily enough, i'm sitting here listening to music i've stolen online (iow: downloaded).
one of those songs is natalie cole's rendition of her father's earlier take of "let there be love.".
beside the music part of it, i marvel at the gifts that parents are able to leave their children.

Nat King Cole was big when I was growing up and he died much too young. To hear him talk you would think he couldn't sing his way out of a paper bag, and you would be wrong. He was, in my opinion, among the top five of the 20th century. Now, I'm missing him. The best was Fats Domino. Bug
