with the un on the tv all the time my husband is just stuck to it waiting for jw prophesis to come true it is so sick , you can just see the mind minulipulation going on in his head.i have been reading about the un and the watchtower in threads and in freeminds , i was not surprised but very hopeful that this maybe what i need to finally get my husband to see the sickness of this cult.i printed out the photocopy on freeminds and showed it to him ,also everyday he reads the dailytext thats supposed to have bible verses for each day, i compared his text with the bible and found many differences and each text ends with the wt page and yr this verse was in.well i confronted him and holy crap he went nuts , screaming , it's all lies that is an apostate sight, anyone can print anything about us.i told him i could send a letter to the un for conformation, well that did it he threw a cup and smashed it and looked crazed.you would think after all these yrs of him being in a cult i could accept it , but i can,t ,i know what it is and it makes me sick , i am starting to believe these sick asses are going to win, one way or another i will get away from this.

the despise for this cult grows by the minute.

the only thing keeping me sane is all of you , i feel very cared for here ,you all can think for yourselves and say how you feel, i think i know all of you more then my husband of 29yrs.

Aren't Jehovahs Witnesses supposed to be "mild mannered people?" I suppose they are until they come up against something for which they have no answers. As far as the library dodge goes, I wish to join a "gentlemans club." I'm sure they have some books laying around I could check out.

RF, those old folks talking about what happened 40 years ago are walking history books. Get your head out of your uh, um, wine bottle and listen for once in your life. You don't need to go far, there are a number of us right here on JWD who are over the age of 50, Mouthy being one of them. She can teach us many things just by relating her experiences. Bug

Dear Nina,

We are about to move to a smaller, nearby town in which the elders, for the most part, are fellows I've know most of my life. When that happens we are very likely to receive an elders visit even though we've been faded for 20 years. With your permission, I would like to print your letter and read it to these guys. Then I'm going to ask them if they want me to subject my wife and I to that type of treatment.

yes another dallas thread,but i wanted to say a huge thankyou to all of you for making me feel so welcome,.

i have brought back memories that will last me a long long time,and have never met so many loveable loonies,in the same place at the same time,in my life,.

which is why i may have seemed a bit quiet,for me,there was so much going on,i was trying not to miss,i didnt get time to say a lot he he.. i am sorry i didnt get chance to say bye bye to all of you,wild turkey and dede,sloan,my last sight of you was when the lift,sorry,elevator,doors where closing,.

You should start saving for retirement!!!

this was the advice given me on sunday by my jw dad.

i was telling him about a chance i have take a paperless stock option.. he encouraged me to put money in a safer investment, so "i would have enough to retire on.

" i told him i started saving around 95, after the generation change watchtower.
