  Did you ever know of a elder wanting montary comp for doing a sheparding visit?

  i knew an elder who would help and support those in the cong, but in return he expected some kind of compensation such as: goods brought for him or his family, services given for free etc.. this elder had a working class job but lived a very middle class life style because of this unspoken arrangement.

  great holidays, new cars and his wife was very much the queen bee of the cong.

  hardly wore the same thing twice and delighted in patronising the other sisters who she considered beaneath her.

  Yes I had one do it to me. I had sinned greatly and a brother was trying to help me but he wasn't an Elder. I said I would only confess to a certain Elder that I trusted. So this man drove over and met with us at a restaurant. We all ate and I told him the story. At the end he said I had to buy him dinner because he drove all that way. Prick!

  i had to give a talk away today, which came up somewhat unexpected.

  i had a couple days to get this outline together, and thats sufficient enough time for me, but i prefer knowing a week in advance.

  Yeah I had a crush on someone in Atlanta named D===l. Man was she pretty! Like a porcelin doll. She is just another shallow witness though and married the Bethelite of course. The phony spirtual qualifications....Found a pic of her on the internet and she has a kid now. Me? I would rather make a realdoll of her that I could violate any way i wished!

  I wouldn't want to be with her today with what I know about the Org today.

  Factfinder I was just like you but I WANTED to be one. They NEVER asked me in 16 years. I did all the stuff you did and was a pioneer on many occasions. I was also older. In my twenties and then my thirties but yet these little 15 year olds were always promoted as MS and never myself. Screw that organization! Glad I woke up!

  Yeah Farkel is on my ignore button now. I will never address him now or in the future. Life is TOO short to be worried about creeps like him. He claims he is dying of a lung disease but that surely hasn't softened him as a human being.

  To get back on subject though, you can't avoid time. That's how we as humans measure things. "remember the time" etc. If there is a God he I would think views time in the same way.

  Why Don't JW Congregations have a Choir?

  even if it were just four or five good singers that practice during the week and get to know the new songbook well, this would benefit the whole congregation.

  music is such a vital part of the overall emotional connection to the gathering, a well-rehearsed choir singing along with the congregation would encourage and uplift, don't you think?.

  what is the society's reasoning for not doing this?.

  What I don't get is to change established songs with different words and an altered track. Forget that! I am so glad I don't go anymore. The new way to do the old songs is NOT Jah's direction. That is horsepucky.

  Yeah. Been in love twice. First girl I gave up because the witnesses told me to. I went through 16 years of regret because of that and recently found her on FB and told her. She is married with kids now etc. The second is my current wife. Hardworker, most of the time loving etc. If things ever go south, I will retreat to Realdoll. I wouldn't ever get married again.
