friend of mine out west told me his spouse has been having trouble staying asleep with ambien and now she has been prescribed temazepam which they said would make her sleep better and longer.
has anyone out here had those and what is the difference, and do you knjow if the temazepam really works or not?.
I had a very bad experience with Temazepam. If you have depression do not drink alcohol if you are taking this drug. Or at least be very careful. It can increase impulsiveness issues as well.
My doctor prescribed me Trazadone for insomnia issues. It worked really well. It is actually an old anti-depressant but works better for sleep issues (Since you have to take about 600 mgs to treat depression - and you'd be asleep before it works!)

My mother was super hardcore. Here is a list of the things we were not allowed to watch:
- Scooby Doo (ghosts)
- The Count or Amazing Mumford (on Sesame Street)
- The Simpsons
- Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, Pinnochio, Alladin
- The Neverending Story
- Superman, Spiderman, Wonder Woman etc.
- Care Bears, Smurfs
- We were also only allowed to watch half of Sesame Street per day because it was 'too worldly'

I remember from when I was a kid that people said 'smurf' was German for 'little blue demon'... I always thought that was the reason it was 'bad'.
I never heard about Avatar though.
recently...my nephew confided that he doesn't want to go to the meetings anymore.
he told his parents.
reply from dad - typical party line - "live in our house - attend the meetings - or leave".
I agree with you. It's horrible.
There's a family in my hall in the same situation. The boy stood up... now he has been out on his own for over a year.

i always bought into the analogy of a doctor telling a patient to abstain from alcohol... it wouldn't matter whether this individual drank the alcohol or took it intravenously... it would all be in direct contradiction to the doctor's orders to 'abstain' from alcohol.. or the other analogy is to an apple pie... if you weren't to eat the pie, it would not be okay to separate it out into the main parts (or 'components)... ie.
the flour, the apples, the sugar or the cinnamon... if they were taken from that pie, you were eating the pie.. so maybe you can see where the questions popped up for me.

To Mad Sweeney... my husband is reading everything I'm reading. I guess you would call him a 'lurker'. He is pretty much where I am in all of this... rethinking everything. He said he is just very confused and doesn't know what he thinks or believes right now. His biggest worry is our children. As I mentioned before the older two boys are both in their teens and once they are baptized we don't know what they will decide to do. They both live with our ex spouses so it's a difficult situation.

I am just sick about all of it.
What's even going to happen?
I don't even know which way is up anymore.
My husband doesn't know either. He is more complacent. He could just give up and fade away.
I want more definite answers. I want to know the Truth. I want to know what to believe. I still want to be 'hardcore' about SOMETHING. About ANYTHING.
Do we just start swearin' and smokin' and drinkin' and carryin' on at this point? I don't want to celebrate Christmas. I don't want to be 'bad'. I don't even know what 'bad' is. I am so confused and angry now.
And what do we do about our kids? They are in their teens on on the verge of baptism. So what? They get baptized and cut us off? WE taught them that way. Now what?
