how many kingdom halls are there worldwide?
even better how many in the years 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019.. i'm asking this to get a picture of the total real estate owning of the jw and how this become to the money-cow in these days..

why do the elders always stress to the rank and file members of the congregation how important meeting attendance is, as well as the importance of always paying attention to every word that's being presented from the slave?
but then, during the meeting, they rarely sit and pay attention themselves to the wonderful spiritual banquet being presented?
they always seem so busy, don't they?
Real truths - as in, actual facts that are obvious and self-evident - shouldn't need constant reinforcement.
If they do, they're not "real truths".

Finkelstein - “...Sounds a bit ad hominem doesn't it?”
Actually, it sounds almost like a cautionary WT “experience”.
the current treatment of the "joseph " story at the wt meetings, uses him as an example of jws suffering, holding up under attack.
i reality the wt outfit is not the victim, but fits the 10 brothers that expelled, nearly killed that original whistleblower.
our example here, who prospered in different ways outside the wtbts inc's sphere of influence.
waton - "...In reality the WT outfit is not the victim, but fits the 10 brothers that expelled, nearly killed that original whistleblower..."
Nailed it.
Ten bucks says that this is completely lost on the loyalists, too.

The conditioning needs regular booster shots...
...and frankly, pressured attendance works better for that sort of thing than the honor system.
hello, i was hoping to get some clarification about how people are disciplined for immorality as a jw.
i became involved with a co-worker a few years ago, she was fairly aggressive and she initiated a physical relationship very quickly.
at the time i did not know she was married and a jw.
You can take the girl out of the Watchtower, but it's a lot harder to take the Watchtower out of the girl.

"...She quickly learned that she did not subscribe to the same beliefs as her parents and, as a result, ended up in a correctional facility..."
What, they had her committed, or something?
i have been thinking about the legal departments that look after the wts interests around the world.i can`t believe these legal eagles offer their services on a voluntary basis like the r&f do.and i don`t believe their services would come cheap.. as an organization the size of jw.org and its offshoots of companys and interests around the world ,the cost of keeping them gainfully employed must amount to a considerable sum of money.. especially the law suits against them with child abuse court cases that arise on a regular basis ,and the government inquiry`s into the jw religion that is happening in different countries now.. all paid for by the voluntary contributions that come from the r&f for the worldwide preaching work .. contributions to pay for the wt organization`s legal department to defend themselves in court ?.
did jesus and the apostles pay lawyers to defend them in a court of law with funds donated by their supporters ?.
From what I understand, the Org actually has a "worldy" firm on retainer.
I can't remember what they're called, but I do seem to recall one rep was quoted...
"We like our Watchtower clients... they pay their bills on time, and are always in trouble" (paraphrasing, but not much).
Seriously.

they died from influenza-involved illnesses at a rate of 0.0005% in 2018.. workforce (age 19-55) deaths from covid-19-involved illnesses are projected at a rate of .01% as a percentage of their peers.

1234 - "This 'social distancing' does something else too. It prevents people from getting together and talking about how they are being manipulated by the powers that be..."
All Hail the Newworldordereptianuminati!!!
Seriously, though...
...is't that kind of thing already done mostly over the internet, anyway?
By that logic, people would be "getting together and talking about it" even more now than before.
does there seem to be a higher incidence of infidelity amongst the jws?.
my brother, who is an active jw and ministerial servant, has an elder friend who was recently disfellowshipped for having an affair with another sister in the hall.
it turns out this sister was divorced a few years earlier from a "worldly" man who had an affair on her.
hoser - "I could relate experiences that would make a sailor blush."
Unsurprising.
That much pent-up ideological denial and sexual repression?
'Course it's gonna take the roof off when it finally blows.
