  my father in law passed away today.

  he was not a witness, but as he got to be more and more house bound, he would attend sunday meetings with my husband or my brother in law.

  tomorrow, a "brother" is buying the family dinner, im not welcome.

  It"s great that your hubby didn"t go to the dinner. Two seperate funerals Wow! Not to many people get that.

  I did go to one that had a preacher and a JW talk, like the battle of the bands only it was preachers LOL

  hello everyone, id like to introduce myself a little.

  ive been viewing the comments and topics on this website for about a month or two and have found it both interesting and enlightening.

  i can almost relate to about anything to anyone on here.

  little Bird, you seem to be the one with LOVING KINDNESS.......Don't you think when you don't show up there will be questions asked like where is your wife????ect...... your husband won't lie will he? That should be a good (bad) witness lol

  Strange, Offensive , Weird Statements on DFing Offenses in Elders Manual

  you really can't make this stuff up.

  but an organization like the wt society bent on controlling virtually every aspect of the typical jehovah's witness life - would make this up to keep their control through the use of fear and guilt.

  so- i thought i'd share what i thought was the strangest, most offensive, weird language dealing with what the wt society calls " disfellowshipping offenses " .

  have you noticed that in the past several years there has been a more authoritarian spirit displayed in the publications and from the platform?

  over lapping generations... thats just plain crazy! if their wrong about that and about 607 maybe thier wrong about withholding the

  bread and wine to everyone ( so sad ) it's always about Jehovah and his org. and rarely about Jesus.....No matter what Jehovah

  wants.......... Just listen to the prayer at the meeting, when someone brings it to your attention you will hear all the thanks to the GB

  or the faithful slave They've replaced Jesus! ( With themself) When you read the Watchtower count how many times they use

  Jesus name compared to governing body or faithful slave That was not the case in the 60s and 70s when I was growing up...

  YES the organization has changed ALOT the light is not brighter..............

  Question for witnesses who were married or intimate during their time in the religion

  i don't want to get graphic with this and get this thread locked, so please don't go overboard with answers.. i was having a discussion with someone about the jw experience, and was wondering if, since "jehovah" is an important part of the religion, during the moments of intense passion in a relationship, would you yell out, "oh, jehovah!

  oh, jehovah!".

  seriously, would a witness do that?.

  What Stupid Things Would You Do Or Not Do That Were "Conscience Matters"?

  i remember i couldn't get involved with any christmas songs while in school but i could sing "let it snow let it snow let it snow" because technically it wasn't a real "christmas" song.. looking back, what silly things did you allow or not allow on the grounds of "conscience"?.

  a contributor to a recent thread, expressing worry that she is on the threshold of being outed, posited that fear is what fills the seats in the kingdom hall.

  Flipper, they always bring up the GLAND problem......I myself have a thyriod problem went from 125 to 130 lbs. Went back to 125 after I got on meds.............. When you eat to many goodies you get fat!!!! My mom told me her witness friend ate a whole cherry pie in one setting... The same with a half gallon of icecream...... how can you NOT get fat if you do that to many times But nobody gets DF or even talked to.

  The bible says its a sin....... THEY say size does not mean anything........... I say if your 350 lbs your a glutton

  I love to eat and have to control myself!! some people have a harder time controling their eating.. I understand that! I can't seem to quit smoking that's my self control issue! Can't be a weak in the faith JW and do that....... but you CAN be a GLUTTON even if their bible says NO they say YES. They make their own RULES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  All scary movies, loved scary movies, king kong, frankinstien, wolfman....An older witness lady took me to see Hush Hush SWeet Charlette SCARY !!!one time I picked a Godzilla movie and she took me to see it, she was soooooo coooool They don't make witness's like her anymore

  Bewitched .....loved that show would sneak and watch it.........

  I had a good voice back then and wanted to sing those Christmas songs no no no

  Sound of music school play that should be ok right? no no no there were NUNS in it!!!!!!
