  This scripture raises some questions. Did Jesus really say "My God, My God, why have you forsaken me?", or did the author of Mark take this from Psalms 22 and insert it? How could Jesus crying out that his "God has forsaken him" or "abandoned" him be a victory song? It would seem to me that if Jesus really said this he felt God was through with him.

  Have you ever wondered why God dealt with man up until the first century C.E. and then for the last 2,000 years we haven't heard from Him? Could it be that God is upset with mankind for killing His son? Or could the reason be is that Jesus sinned?

  What if Jesus had sinned? What would be the consequences? The NIV Study Bible answers this on page 723 where it reads:"...If God will only let Satan tempt Job by breaking the link between righteousness and blessing, he will expose the righteous man for the sinner he is." It goes on to say:"It is the adversary's ultimate challenge. For if the godliness of the righteous man in whom God delights can be shown to be a terrible sin, then a chasim of alienation stands between them that cannot be bridged. Then even redemption is unthinkable, for the godliest of men will be shown to be the most ungodly. God's whole enterprise in creation and redemption will be shown to be radically flawed, and God can only sweep it all away in awful judgment."

  So if Christ had sinned, it would have caused God to turn away from man for good and all that awaits us now is final judgment. What sin did Christ commit? Here are some points to consider:

  -At Mark 7:19 it states that "Jesus declared all foods clean". This is in direct violation of God's commands at Leviticus the eleventh chapter where certain animals were forbidden to be eaten. The law wasn't done away with until after Christ death.

  -At John 10:33 the Jews were going to stone Jesus for blasphemy because he claimed to be God.

  -At Matthew 5:22 Jesus says that if anyone calls his brother "a fool" he has sinned and will go to Gehenna and yet Jesus calls the Pharisees "blind fools" at Matthew 23:17.

  -The Secret Gospel of Mark alludes to the possibility that Jesus could have practised homosexuality.

  Christians will claim that Jesus didn't sin, that he was faithful up until death. But why did Jesus say before he died "Father, why have you forsaken me?" Is that because in the last few seconds of his life God withdrew His Holy Spirit and Jesus was left "standing on his own two feet"? Why wasn't Jesus left two stand on his own two feet during his three and a half year ministry? And if Jehovah had "purposed" for Jesus to die for mankind without ever sinning then Jesus couldn't have sinned if he wanted to! What kind of test was that?!? But according to the Bible Jesus was tested many times and a real test would of allowed for the possibility for Jesus to have failed any test and thus sin. If this was the case and Jesus had sinned, the early Christian writers have done a great job in covering this up.

  something is puzzling me about the history of humankind and the stories that have been passed down through generations as fact.

Won't then this ape men notice that there are others like them but which cannot communicate through speech? Will this then be passed through their offspring?"...

  The answer to your question is yes. I saw this very situation while living in the Ozarks of Missouri.

  WOW 144,001!

  You must know her personally to be so offended by my statement! I only am stating my strong opinion of Madonna based on what I see. Madonna loved bumping the heads of young kids with her "sex" video and other explicit material. Why don't I like her? Because of the fact that while she can influence other children and feed "porno" into their minds, her little daughter is too precious to be "polluted" by the show Barney! Madonna has attitude and she thinks she is being cute. Like and love her all you want 144, but she is a hypocrite with a double standard. I know that she can't keep lourds from finding out the truth about her mother. I don't read gossip magizines or any other trash about people...I am basing my feelings on what she herself has said and done. And that is my complaint on this thread....a double standard. A person who wants to play with explosives should learn how to handle matches first!

  truth can certainly promote and assure freedom ... but the "key" to the jailhouse door is not some ultimate "trvth" that we must find.

  some argue that theists, deist, or atheist are free due to some "trvth" or that they are all hypocrits because they debate one another.

  Since leaving the org. I have learned to be tolerant of many things, including a woman's right to choose. But what bothers me is that the same women who promote irresponsible sexual behavior are also the first to want to promote abortion. I feel that it is great that some women have discovered their vaginas and I realize that they need them tickled frequently, but their is a responsiblity that goes with sex. I am not talking about ignorant teenage girls...I am talking about intelligent, educated, mature and experienced women. What I see is an absolute extremism in the issue of abortion. You have on the one hand the pro choicers demanding abortion as a solution,(as if a woman will get in touch with her "feminine liberated self"), and then you have the religous nuts who have zero tolerance, even if it means the mother losing her life. Where is the inbetween? MADonna is a perfect example of this disgusting hypocrisy and double standard. MADonna is the biggest slut in the entertainment business that there is. Her example I'm sure is responsible for many young girls having unwanted pregnancies, and yet she said on Larry King live that she won't let her little girl "Lourdes" watch "Barney" because she doesn't want her to be corrupted by this kiddy show. She is evil! There is responsibility that we humans have with our reproductive organs while getting pleasure. Setting a good example and educating our children about safe and responsible sex is what I call "teaching your children decency"!

  Carbon dating isn't reliable?

  i was talking to a relative the other night who told me that pbs had a program on tv some weeks back, and they interviewed many reputable scientist who said that carbon dating doesn't work.

  mine is the story of a lady who was witnessing alone in an apartment building, and aparently she knocked on the door of some rapists/murderers/drug dealers......whatever......she was "saved" by two angels, only visible to the attackers, that accompanied her on that visit.

  .

  or how about the one where a householder had his finger on the trigger of a gun and was just about to pull it when.....all of a sudden....out of nowhere (drumroll please) a witness knocked on his door and offered him "the promise of everlasting life in the new system of thingstm"!!

  Beck...what happened was is that this smurf walked into my old Hall and stood there for a moment and said "F*uck this place!", and then walked out.
