Were you Stalked or Chased After Once you Exited the JW's by Elders ?

i tried to fade off the map by moving 30 miles initially in 2004 after i exited in late 2003 .

the first several years they didn't bother me.

i ran into a elder from my former congregation in late 2005 in an antique store - he tried telling me i was wrong for stopping attending meetings.

My friend was dobbed in to the elders by my brother/sister in law. They observed her house Xmas decorated to its fullest glory. Once the elders knew the situation they hounded her. Her house phone & mobile were rang relentlessly. When she failed to answer the phone they turned up on her doorstep (unannounced) and knocked her door until she answered.

She promptly told them she wasnt interested & that they could shove it. They still wanted to help her and offered her a bible study! She said you should have been there when I needed you and to shove it where the sun dont shine. They kept pestering her and pestering her, so she wrote a letter to disassociate herself. They read out to the congregation this week that she was now disfellowshipped.

Her parents & any JW's she knows of are now shunning her and will no longer speak to her.... This happened to her before & they only respoke to her when she was re-instated. They will have a long wait this time as she will NEVER return now she knows the real Truth !!!

Cruel Blind fools is what they are...

Tried to end my "bible" study, ended up agreeing to go to the Kingdom Hall instead!!!

my jw came over yesterday with a video she wanted to show me, i forget what it was called but it was about the history of the watchtower.normaly i don't have a problem discussing the bible with her, but i just could't sit through this bs video.

i already know the history of the watchtower,.

and it certianly isn't what this video was going to portray.

Don't go to the hall !! You have proved to yourself already that the JW'S are a liars. Get rid of this leach who is trying to get you to the hallYou are your own person with choices you make not them for you. my son wants to say hi to everyone on the forum.

as one of the main drivers to us exiting the cult he is very excited about never going to a meeting again.. if i knew how to load pictures i would let you see his plan for christmas lights next year.

apparently we are having a sleigh with reigndeers.

Memorial observance It isnt about Jesus at all!

we all know that jesus is a pretty much-overlooked figure by the wbts.

they refuse to celebrate his birth for a number of convoluted reasons, which i refuse to argue.

but, it is curious that they celebrate the death of christ.

just found these figures for the uk circut assembly halls and my jaw dropped when i saw how much money they all have in the bank!!.

here are some stats from the uk, well start off with some of the uk assembly halls.. .

the surrey assembly hall of jehovahs witnesses is sitting with just under a cool 4 million in the bank.

Ladies: were you often left to deal with the children at assemblies/meetings?

This pictures great only in my situation you needed to add another few kids !!!

In fact:

1 x Newborn,
1 x 2 year old
1 x 4 year old
and finally a 6 year old !!!!!!

I worked Full Time. Yet we went all the meetings regularily, rarely missing any of them and we NEVER had any help - NOT even from the inlaws who were in the same congregation !!! Call that christian love .. NO I DONT. Instead the congregation looked down their noses at me as though I was some incompetant retard who was this baby making machine !

I remember one time when I was 5 months pregnant a sleazy brother (we named Dougie Fresh) thought it appropriate to tell me that he thought I was gaining a few lbs & that as he felt I was a good looking wench, it was in my interest to slim down a bit !!! Another time this brother said that had he been 20 years younger my then husband wouldnt have had a look in... The nerve !!! (This was whilst on the ministry and he was being very serious & wasnt joking or trying to be humorous ! )

Where do they say "start & stop 'study' = Bad Association?"

i was wondering where (articles or books) the wt teaches that if you start a study & then stop, you become "bad association" and are treated almost like a df.

is this anywhere in the literature, or is it only an unwritten practice?

in the dictionary of jw-ese (http://www.cftf.com/dictionary/index.html#b), it says the practice has been discontinued, and i am wondering what an active jw would say about it if i asked.

Its just a sort of unwritten practice. They will see it as though you are rejecting Jehovah and that you have become worse than those in the world because you have come to an accurate knowledge of the so called Truth & have therefore have chosen to dissassociate yourself... ! If someones knows the Truth and goes against it then they are worse than a person without Truth. In effect in their words they will liken you to a Dog who Returns to Its Vomit .... :0

CO will sit in on my "study" this week: any suggestions?

in my "study" with jw's, we're in ch 7 of the "bible teach" book.

we did pars 17-20 last week.

this week, the co is in town, and my conductor is having him sit in.

I have no illusions that I will change the conductor or the CO. However, I want to be able to say to my friend that I understand what her org says, have asked questions of its representatives, listened to their responses, and can say specifically why their responses are not satisfactory to me. She may not change, but I want to at least be able to clearly explain to her why I think her org is not as sensible as she thinks it is.

The second you get to the point of trying to explain to your friend the reasons as to why you think her org is not sensible she will INSTANTLY shun you. She will consider you Bad Association and will avoid you like the plague. Unfortunate as it is, in your desire to get to know her better, you will actually cause a GREAT big division between you, and all your efforts will have come to nothing. She is programmed to react like this. Also noteworthy is that the moment you cut ties with your study conductor, he will feel duty bound to contact her so as to explain what has happened & that your study has been terminated... You are in a no win situation. :(

If you learn too much and back out of your studies she will get to know & shun you.
Learn not enough and she will still steer clear of you because your not a JW.
Talk to her about anything you think is wrong and you in her mind will be declared Apostate..
