we can ALL ask this simple question "please please show me in the bible where it tells me to STOP Loving my neighbor and shunning them as Jesus did?"

Known Pedophile takes young boy to bathroom at circuit assembly....WTF?
by QuestioningEverything inmy mil's circuit assembly was this past weekend.
she came over for dinner to our home after the assembly.
in conversation, it came up that a known pedophile was seen walking to the bathroom holding a young boy's hand-no relation to the boy at all, although that wouldn't make a difference!

Look, I know she is 80 ish...but did she "miss see" who was holding the little kids hand?
Maybe she just mistaken the dude for another guy by eyesight mistake
I can't imagine a Pedo would be that brazenly open

Hey,
I had to deal with this a couple of years ago in Virginia,
check your state and get a good Lawyer, as I belive they have to "Compensate you" if they ask you to sign such a document AFTER you have been working there for over 1 year?
Drop me a note back and if I can help further, I will

hey Diana,
I thought you lived in England? Whereabouts? I used to live near Leeds and then Bristol/Bath for a year later.
So did you get the "situtation" resolved? How did it turn out for your son, his uncle and "boss" ? Most of the folks are correct, gotta let them do it on their own, if they dont put their OWN HEART in it, it wont work or go very far,
I have raised 2 children - a boy, now 26 and a girl now 24, really much like "chalk and cheese"
Let me know how it's all going on the project, oh BTW, my granddaughter loves trains....she's 3 - would the uncle hold the position oepne for about 15 more years? Thomas is her favorite , then Percy a distant 2nd.
Peace out

Dear All,
While I realize that most have written about "personal experiences"-and ALL are very true. Think back over the years about the letters read, KM's published and how we were treated when it came to "special" events such as International Assemblies and special trips to gatherings and meetings sponsored by the WTBTS.
What truly "started the ball rolling" was the personal experience I am about to relate:
Many years ago a KM was read about attending the Eastern European Assemblies, my family is from there, came over after WW2, In fact BOTH of my parents were Holocaust survivors, however I wont go into that. So I had a desire to attend and travel there. I wanted to see my parents "homeland". But the letter stated, "it was open to elders, pioneers and MS's that met the qualifications could only attend." I was NEITHER of those and felt so slighted I wrote a letter to the NY BETHEL to ask why???
About 2 weeks later my local PO came to me with a copy of my letter and a note to "cease further discussion of this matter as it was not upbuilding to the congregation and organization." He said if I wanted to go I could "go on my own", Funny that was not my desire but it helped prove a point. There IS NO EQUALITY at WTBTS, it's all a farce. Having that experience in mind it made me think of the George Orwell's book "Animal Farm" and the famous quote - " all animals are equal, some MORE equal than others". LOL
As a side note, about a month later a new letter was read that it was "now open " for all to apply to this trip (s) as I suppose as they did not have the response required and the travel department need to get apprpriate numbers so they could get their travel discount (or free trips for the privledged few that were leading the groups) on these itineraries. I am sure you all know how group travel works for those that set up these mega trips.
With that in mind, it became very appearant that there is a real distinction in the ranks of the Organization.
Over and out for now, (I really do not post much)

Victoria, Australia: A MUST READ-Transcript of audio recording of WT letter read to all Victoria congs Oct/Nov. 2011 re: Working With Children Act
by AndersonsInfo insee www.jwnews.net, steven unthank's private blog site where he posted the following material.
i enlarged and put in bold the third paragraph of the wt's letter where the elder, an ex-bethelite, made some fascinating errors while reading the letter by using the words, "borg" and "perp.
" does this mean what i think it means?

Wow! on a Momentous Day as April 5th, I am further dismayed and NOT surprised by this recording.
Wouldn't it be grand to get a "Copy" of this letter for all to read. Hes to say that JW are not Volunteers and not part of the WTBTS. UnHoly amazing after all these years and all the lives lost to be a "Witness" in history, We certainly are living in monumental times.
THIS IS THE BEGINNING OF THE END for the WTBTS.

Supreme Court has ruled in favor of Religious Organizations
by dreamgolfer inhttp://religion.blogs.cnn.com/2012/01/12/my-take-huge-win-for-religious-liberty-at-the-supreme-court/.
reading this makes me understand why the churches , especially wbts will be so happy over this.. think about it, no servant can now sue for discrimination against the organization, insulation at the highest degree,.
oh boy,.

What really ended the book study in private homes?
by Alfred init's been over 3 years since the book study in private homes was discontinued and some jws are still scratching their heads over it.
although a letter was read to all congregations explaining that "book study night" would now be "family worship night", there was still much speculation among jws as to the real reason behind this decision (the great tribulation was about to start, jehovah was simplifying the lives of jws, to lessen the burden of poor jws who had no money for gas, etc.)...
but as we all know, decisions like these from the gb invariably have some ulterior motive behind it... and discussion boards such as this one usually finds a way to dig up the truth for all to see... but after reading several threads on this subject, i'm really not sure we've uncovered all the facts yet.... so i have to ask... what do you believe really ended the book study in private homes?

in our old congregation the local families started to charge $5 a head and they were worried this might continue state wide. Many of the homeowners thought by doing this he had enough coming from the BS on a weekly basis to quit window washing and paper routes and thus full time pioneer.
3 years gone, I bet they are all still bummed when they shut the BS down, now he has to climb that dang ladder again and wake up at 3 am to bust windows with his papers.
Oh how they must long for the good ole days.
sheesh when will the persecution stop!

What were you thinking? Why did you "come out" to him? What did you expect to happen and why did you expect it?
I think the above is a good question, however when you have been through what I have with this "Best Friend" over the past 30 years, you may have had the same idea that outcome could be different. He had some "questions" too, and I thought that possibily if I reveal my questions of "the WBTS" that it may spur him on to do some research and see if I do have validation and his concerns should be investigated. Just like when they go out and preach to get them "into" the org, if you talk and work smart you can help them to see that they need to do research themselves and "get out".
I feel that my feelings for him as a friend was not based on him being a JW, but as him as an individual. Think about it, you all have the same goal, to help the ones you care out to "rethink" their position and lives and move on w/o the "org".
While I was hurt, I have to take time to let it sink in with him, it took me time too.
I am better today, and thanks to ALL for you great words and suggestions.,
Have a great weekend, it's getting to be Fall!
