Ex JW Homelessness

does anyone know of any former witnesses who upon being disfellowshipped etc were also faced with the prospect of homelessness, if so, would you please let me know, or, if you know of someone in this impending situation, also please let me know below.. kind regards.

I knew 3 JW sisters at that time in the age of 20 to 25. The 2 oldest where sisters of eachother. Me and my brother in law always used to help around the house and fix stuff girls couldn't do. At one point the oldest sister was DA'd because she had sex with an already DA'd brother or something. Following that her younger sister went back to live with her parents. Now you have an active JW young woman and DA'd young woman living together. One time me and my brother in law went to their house to replace lightbolbs and stuff. When we were busy the JW girl told us she was having an early dinner because they only had one table. She said she wasnt allowed to eat at the same table as the other girl who was DA'd. To me that makes no sense. Me and my brother in law were JW's and agreed on that issue and some other minor issues. Today I can not believe the stupidity of it all. They could share the entire house and could speak to eachother but they could not share the table when eating! And that in a specified schedule provided by an elder.

Was I really that dumb? Where else do you see shit like this happening?

WTBS CHARGES £10 FOR INFO

the wtbs in the uk and all the relevant congregations have introduced a 10 charge for anyone wishing to see their personal files and info held under the data protection act.

information includes publisher record cards, s77 forms, specialised sheperding lists and so on.. i presume that this just applies to the uk.

does anyone know of any other countries that have started to apply charges?.

Q. How can I find out what information is held about me?

A. A request for a copy of information held about you is known as a "Subject Access Request." Requests must be made to the person or organisation ("data controller") who you think processes (for example, holds discloses and/or uses) the information to which you want access. Requests must be made in writing and must be accompanied by the appropriate fee (as to which see below).

You are entitled to be told if any personal data are held about you AND, if so:
· to be given a description of the data;
· to be told for what purposes the data are processed and
· To be told the recipients or the classes of recipients to whom the data may have been disclosed.
This information should include what sort of data are held, the purposes for which the data are processed and the type of organisation or people to whom the data may be disclosed.

You are also entitled;
· to be given a copy of the information with any unintelligible terms explained;
· to be given any information available to the controller about the source of the data;

Q. How much does it cost to gain access?

A. Data controllers may charge a fee of up to £10 for responding to a subject access request.

Unless you specifically ask to be given an explanation as to how any automated decisions about you have been made, the data controller is not obliged to provide such information. If you do specifically include a request for such information in your request then the data controller must provide it within the single £10 fee. If you do not, then the data controller is entitled to charge a separate fee of no more than £10 for the separate provision of such information. You should also be aware of the fact that data controllers may not be required to provide such information if, or to the extent that, the information amounts to a trade secret.
Different fee structures apply to some 'accessible records' such as health, education or social services files.

Mormons in the neighborhood.

today as i was pulling into my driveway i noticed two young mormon "elders" at my neighbor's house.

they stood on the porch and watched me pull into my garage, obviously had just been at my house.

i thought for sure they would be marching right over to inquire as to whether i was interested in learning about their church.

The last time they came at my door, they asked if I needed some work done outside the house. Wish JW's asked those kind of questions. Could have my lawn done every week!

it is said of jw elders that they "can provide protection by listening attentively to his problem, offering bible-based counsel, and giving encouragement or practical help.

like their appointed king, christ jesus, they want to help those who have been 'thrown about.

' (matthew 9:36) and they desire to assist others who have been damaged by the winds of false teaching.

The Governing Body exposed!

how can we let the governing body believe in something that is made up by socalled apostates without them knowing about it?

then after they make it their own believes and spread it we can show who really made it up.. ok, i know it is far fetched, but i am sure if we all think about it we can make somthing work.. great ideas begin with a stupid one!.

Skimming off the top

this is an evil idea so be warned.

i was just thinking back and it came to me how easy it would have been to steel money from the controbution boxes in the congos i use to attend.just volontier to clean the hall at the end of every month and skim away.no one would suspect a thing because cntrobutions are annonymous.and if you where in the right position at bethel you could skim some serious cash.and if somehow you ever got caught i think the sociaty would be reluctant to prosacute in a public court cause of the negative press.anyone else have this bad thought?
