Yes, this crash happened at least several years back. There is w website the national board of safety and transportation has that you can search to find out what happened. I think they may have had too much weight in the plane, but I am not sure.

ALL you ever need to know to understand NEW LIGHT (for what it really is)
by Terry inhere is what i'm thinking; see if you don't agree.... .
jehovah's witnesses are divided into three distinct tiers of membership.. 1.governing body anointed.
4.the rank and file jw & non-gb anointed are told what the shape is and what it means and what to do about it.. .

What would man be without woman
by Star tiger ini know from my own experience that i would be a total f**k up, i would have taken the entire family into the borg, after my guilt after leaving this several years ago i am totally grateful to her for the rejection of my previous beliefs, i would have subjected the children to all the self esteem eroding ideas of a few old men in the governing body!.
i think i'm probably now a humanist, with respect for the here and now and trying to cope with the idea that people don't live forever as i see it in my weekend job of working in a nursing home, and feeling utter disgust at the governing bodies ideas at immortality which were totally wrong!.
i think it was robin williams that said if women were in control there would be no wars but intense negotiations every thirty days, lol.

Madness in the pages of the very first Golden Age. The date? Oct 1, 1919
by cedars ini was doing some research in the very first issue of golden age (forerunner to awake!
), published october 1, 1919, and couldn't believe what madness was contained on some of its pages.. for example, i can't believe i missed this clipping when i was researching my article on racism in early watchtower literature a year ago..... .
segregation of black children is basically praised as "wise" and "probably an advantage to all concerned.

whathappened
I have been told that the racism comments in the Watchtower Society's early publications can be excused because almost everyone was racist in those days.
That is no excuse if they were really God's spokesperson, they should have been the forerunners of anti racism.
I was taught that if everybody is doing it, than it must be wrong. We were told that from the platform.

Where to begin?
by DATA-DOG ingood morning everyone,.
i am drinking coffee and thinking about something that kept my tossing and turning all night.
i want to tell my wife, the elders, my friends, that i have been watching a pattern develope within the wtbts for years, and that i love them all but feel that tha wtbts has become a mirror of ancient jerusalem when they strayed.

Yes, these fine people are correct. Be prepared for anything. You may help some honest hearted person out, others will dig their heels in deeper. That is what happened in our family.
To thine own self be true. Do what you think best.
We will be here for you.

THE BLIND SPOT identifying the refuting target of Jehovah's Witnesses
by Terry inthe life of a human being progresses toward maturity and peaks and then gradually atrophies into old age, inability, possibly debilitation and then death.. it is the same for all people unless they meet with an accident or misfortune along that continuum.. i propose that we measure and test the virtue of being a jehovah's witness by focusing on the blind spot of their religion.. .
what is the blind spot?.
the watchtower society is in major denial that the members of that religion will actually grow old and die.. as a consequence of this major blind spot the members are less likely to include provisions for that inevitability.. the active and committed jw spends a preponderance of their vital years serving the needs of the group and not for saving for old age.. once that outstanding performance lessens and fizzles into decrepitude--the society itself makes no provision for their senescence.. .

At 59, I am just conceding the fact that I will probably spend my last yrs with a roommate or in government subsidized housing. Thank you, Watchtower Society. Whilst being a cleaning lady for thirty years, thinking how faithful I was to your suedo religion, I never made enough money to set aside much for retirement. After all, Armageddon was coming long before I got old, right??? Retirement is now three years away, where is that paradise you promised???

Tonight I celebrate a personal milestone...my 1000 post. Now the big decision...chocolate or extra alcohol or both
by StoneWall inyeah i know its taken me almost 5 years to reach 1000 post and many of you get that in a few months.. but i do take long extended breaks from the forums (especially in summer months for sun an fun).. i've seen where others had made a thread on celebrating this particular point of being a member on here and thoguht well that sounds fun so i will too.. plus considering how close we are to the "end of this present wicked system of things", and that it was going to happen any day now, and right around the corner, i figured i'd not make it long enough to hit 1000 post.
lol.
anyways hope this post finds all of you out there in good health, with plenty of wealth and enjoying your life to its fullest.

Glad you are still hanging around here after all these years. I also hope to be here for a while to encourage and help others out of the despair that we all have when we realize we were living in a cult.

100 Years of Disappointment on the Horizon
by mrquik ineven as an elder, i had doubts as to this being "the one true religion".
i personally had chosen 2014 as one of those "make or break" dates.
fortunately, i left years ago.

This religion is making it up as they go along. It will be interesting to see if they or how they address the hundred years thing.
