  One years has passed since getting the boot. My story, past, present, and beyond.

  so as of today, it is my one year anniversary of being out.

  i simplified it so that most people who know nothing of jws can understand.

  in addition to writing this as self therapy, i plan to use it to educate others in my life who need to know more about where i come from.

  i had a discussion with a friend regarding ever changing "truth.

  " he commented on a verse in the new song book that states that one needs to keep up with "present truth.

  " this bothered him immensely.

  As Jehovah's witnesses we were taught that the most important thing was to help save other people's eternal lives. There is no time for any other good deeds. It keeps the rank and file from straying from the flock, which suits the WBTS's needs just fine. As long as headquarters is happy, they don't care about anyone or anything else.

  How glad I am to no longer associate with them.

  In today’s paper the Mormons have even admitted DTD is not the most effective way to reach people.

  there was an short article in my local paper today that started out with "mormons expand use of technology".

  i am horrible at scanning so i will quote some of the article, it said "the common images of mormon missionaries has long been two young men wearing white shirts and ties walking through neighborhoods, knocking door-to-door.

  but in a few years, that image may be replaced by one of young mormons sitting with an ipad, typing messages on facebook.

  Who knows what will happen. The religion is constantly changing. The WBTS will do whatever it takes to survive.

  hey guys it's been about three months since i've been on here, since then a lot has happened.

  i left my family, moved in with my boyfriend and i am free of the cult.

  my dad still talks to me but my other relatives haven't said a thing to me.

  My daughter was shunning me and she softened up. I wrote her heart wrenching letters begging her not to shun me. She and her husband allow me to call anytime and I also get to visit them in there home. The rule is I don't trash the WBTS. I am not df'd or da'd, just have told her ttatt and she thinks I am an apostate.

  Mother love can be very strong. Where you real close?

  Literally everything that is said from the platform at every meeting or assembly is propaganda. It makes me sick to listen to it.
