  this is the exchange of text messages i had with my super spiritual brother.

  it is sad... it is pathetic... it has helped me realize that i have no connection to these people anymore.

  i feel free today.

  You know the more I think about this the more upset I get.

  Your mom and dad felt it was totally OK to run up the charge card because after all Armageddon was coming before they would ever have to pay it off.

  All the charges were to support kingdom interests and Jehovah would approve of this. They are victims like the rest of us but just dont realise it.

  It is too late for them, at their age, what can they do, go back to work?

  Again, nothing is going to happen to them if they don't pay the bills. There is no debtors prison or anything like that.

  If you give your father the money you are a much bigger, way more generous person that anyone I know.

  Credit card debt is unsecured. There is nothing they can do to your parents but harrass them with telephone calls.

  When they pass away, the credit card companies cannot go after you or your sweet, kind, thoughtful brother.

  I wouldn't pay it.

  Another solution is just to pay the minimun balance until they are gone. That will keep the creditors from hounding them.

  They have to learn to do what the Bible says and not borrow money, count the cost, etc., etc.

  i heard an announcement some time ago, " [ insert name's ] reinstatement has been rescinded and is no longer one of jehovah's witnesses.

  " has anyone ever heard of such a thing?

  Perhaps after prayerful consideration, one member of the judicial committee decided that the result was wrong and Holy Spirit moved them to rescind the reinstatement...or what the people who wrote just above me said.

  a few weeks ago i posted a topic about a deaf woman studying with the jw's.

  the deaf preacher from the woman's parents church contacted me to know more about the jw's because the parents were allowing their daughter to study with the jw's because "they are such nice people.

  " anyway the deaf preacher contacted me because he knows i just left the jw's last year and he wanted information.. i was more than happy to provide it.

  sorry to raymond and cynthia franz for expelling them on trumped-up charges and forcing them from there bethel home.. sorry for demonizing many of raymond's accomplishmets, such as 'the aid to bible understanding' (the blue book) that he had a hand in putting together and that too many old timers remember who grew fond of reading to expand their bible knowledge.. sorry to oompa for disfellowshipping him and causing him to be shunned to the point where he couldn't take it any longer and wound up taking his own life.

  Sorry we made you marry "only in the lord," which means you had to choose your mate from a very small group of individuals in your local and age group. This was why I had two awful JW husbands who felt they could be lackluster husbands because I was forced to stay married to them and submit to whatever they dished out in order to please Jehovah, our kind, loving, invisiable Sky Daddy.

  an albuquerque woman filed a lawsuit claiming a church leader sexually abused her as a child.. monica jaramillo said michael brunner, an elder at the jehovah's witness church in los lunas, sexually abused her when she was just 8 years old.. jaramillo, now 35, filed a lawsuit claiming other elders of the church knew about the incident but chose to do nothing.. the complaint also alleges jaramillo's mother was raped by brunner.. jehovah's witnesses in los lunas told kob eyewitness news 4 that brunner left the congregation years ago.. .

  all of the teachings (i counted 8) which have been reversed in the july 15th watchtower were based on the bible???????????.
