i have had a few run ins this week on fb with random jws trying to check me for things that have absolutely nothing to do with the org.
(please dont ask me why they have not un-friended me!
I remember exactly what I would have thought when I was in. I would have felt sorry for those who left the congregation and were living happy lives. I would have said that you were sacrificing your eternal life for a few short years of happiness in this wicked system of things. You are trying to make your own paradise now instead of waiting for Jehovah to make it a reality. I would have thought you fooled by Satan. I was deluded of course.

i talked to my 83 year old pioneer mother over the weekend and she said she's going.
pioneer school for 2 weeks starting today in lynnwood, wa.
is that how long they usually are?.
This is just another "privelege" they give the pioneers so they feel like one of the elite members of the organization.
i visited my sister in a small town in the midst of the country, the town has a population of 3,000 and there's about 70 in the cong.
anyway, there was a local needs talk a few months ago about associating with family members who didn't live under your roof and no longer went to meetings.
one family of an elder dad and three sons (one an elder too, the others have stopped going) and a daughter (still going but married a 'worldly') are quite prominent and one half of a typical congregational feud.
They can do whatever they want to do. They think they are God's earthly visible organization. It's extreme thinking at its best.

today i added a new article to my blog highlighting the danger of power consolidation along with an overt attempt to ready millions for obeying irrational direction from this power.

it has been several years since my awakening.
since then i have stopped pioneering, stopped doing temp work at bethel, stopped field service (at the most, i went out a few hours a month for the last couple of months), my meeting attendance has been around 50 percent or so.
i have decided not to go back.
Don't worry, the guilt will give way to pure joy sooner than you think.
just what is the purpose for it?
i can get to all the stuff without an account except with the account i can look up meeting times of a local congo, or conventions, and donate to the wtbts.
that seems to be it.in fact, once signed in that is all that is available and have to go back to being logged out to get anything else on the site.. what gives?

i figured he was going to arrange the committee and try to get me kicked out after the whole "big pile of books" labelled "take this shit".. well his call made me realize that more and more people ... elders included no longer take this religion seriously.
after he told me he heard what happened he actually laughed and said i would never expect that.
he then told me that it is apparent that i no longer want to be connected to the organization.
I think this elder invited you on this guys day out trip just to lower your defenses, get you to a neutral place so he can try to guilt you into coming back. I would make friends elsewhere, if I were you.
I quit cold turkey and everyone knows I am an apostate, nothing was done to me. I get no phone calls or visits and am shunned and ignored by 80% of the dubs that I run into. It has been almost three years of utter bliss. I will never give the elders the authority over me to df me or accept my letter of disassociation. This is a cult and no respect is deserved.
the clever ploy that get the rank and file to be corporation drones, sacrificeing everything, higher education, enjoyment of sports, material goods, family members who are disfellowshipped, homes, even their own lives.. the governing body are skilled at puting words in their corporation's sock puppet mouth, in effect dictate what jehovah thinks and feels; be it sadness over children's choice of toys or how he gets all hurt when deaf people masturbate, they got jehovah thinking, feeling, and saying pretty much what ever they need him to to keep the rank and file in servitude and gratefulness to the corporation..
They know how to play the game and play it well, indeed.
