a little bit of background (for those of you who came in late).... i used to be a jw (no joke!).
i married a jw wife.
we were married for about 20 years, and i couldn't take it anymore - since i was no longer a jw, and didn't believe in their doctrines anymore.. i got divorced in 2002. since that time, i was solo, and then met a nice non-jw woman.
You married a verysmart woman! Congrats!
I had a double pleasure. Not only did I throw my own personal JW library into the dumpster, loose, unwrapped so that it came into contact with the other garbage, but when my mom passed away a year ago, I tossed her entire collection into the dumpster. Double the pleasure, double the fun!
In the dumpster is where the Watchtower literature belongs.
i just got in from my daughters homecoming(she is a cheerleader and these guys make a huge deal out of this stuff).
they play 3 football games of various age groups.
it starts at 8 in the morning and just ended at 1:30. i just got in the house literally 5 minutes ago and i had to share.
They really take their ministry seriously, don't they? ...NOT!!!
can anyone here, lay person or professional describe or give insights into the effects the following has on a child?.
when my friend, the middle child of 3 siblings, was five years old, his mother took him by the hand and led him to the house where his father was having an affair with another woman.
she opened the door to confront her husband who was actually in the act of having sex with the other woman, and deliberately exposed her young son to this drama.. .

so i hadn't talked to my friends on facebook for a while because i had been too busy on my page (now two pages) and my job, and my girlfriend.
so i go on my fb account yesterday and i start talking to a "bible study" i had had while in mexico... after learning ttatt, i have dreamed of ways to tell him and his family to stay away from jw's, but i hadn't had the courage to do so because of a) wanting to get my family awakened first, and b) noticing the horribly bad reaction of the very few people i have actually talked to (three persons).... but anyways, i felt the need to tell him, the "bible study"... he is around 15. his mom was inactive for many years until we found her in "service" and then we started her on a study and she came back... at the time, i thought i was doing a correct thing, if i had known ttatt, no way in hell i would have done that.
now it hurts my conscience, although to my credit, i had no idea of ttatt.. so his mom, him, his brother and sister are all in some way or another associating with jw's.. i wasn't intending to talk to him about ttatt, it just happened.... yesterday we started a conversation (a is him, b is me):.
I hope this doesn't come back to bite you in the butt, however you did the noble thing.
when i was an elder, i had a few couples approach me to confess that they either played around or went all the way.. i suspect there were many more that did not admit to it, though..
Everyone I know confesses that they at the very least did heavy petting.
so this is the situation..........haven't been to meeting for the past 10 months....misssed dc as well as 2 day assemblies.. i have woken up to the fact that the watchtower is not god's organization so their is absolutely no way iam going.
to give the elders any of my time.

You do not owe them anything. Tell them not to concern themselves with you anylonger and close the door or hang up, whichever the case may be.
the jws stopped by my house a couple weeks ago on a saturday morning.
i knew that with others most likely waiting for them out in the car they probably did not then have much time to engage in any serious conversation.
so i let them talk while i feigned interest in what they had to say.

a friend of mine asked, "do you recall a watchtower or km that said the jw's are not suppose to read, or post information in defense of the watchtower on their own personal website or anyone elses website?".
of course, there is the july 15, 2011 watchtower: what is involved in avoiding false teachers?
we do not receive them into our homes or greet them.
They just want you tredging door to door, none of this easy count your time stuff!
after some considerable thought i have decided that i will no longer post on this forum because i want to return to jehovah.

Eventhough I think it is a huge mistake to go back to a cultish lifestyle, I wish SBF the best and will certainly look forward to the day he will surely return.
hey everyone, i want to apologize for not rtesponding to a number of messages i recieved over the last month or so.
i took a break as suggested by someone else to try and sort things out and clear my head.
my wife has been reading alot on here and kept me updated on all the fun that has been going on!.
