so i think the title pretty much says it all.
i have a tendancy to be long winded about things, so i'll just give a general introduction and maybe tell things as i go along.
i don't even really know what i want from this site (ironically i remember jehovahs-witness.net mentioned from the platform as a site not to go to).
You said it all in your opening post...you know you don't fit in with the witnesses and it will cause nothing but grief for you to go back, only to get df'd again.
It may be best for all if you just tell your mom the truth Just like you are telling us.

so i recently attended a few meetings in the last 30 days.
i've not been in over a decade.
as posted in an earlier topic, i still have a few family members in.
I am sure the governing body members will see to it that they will always be well taken care of. Rumor has it that one of them drives a Bentley.
this morning as my husband and i were backing out of our garage to head out to the farmers market a jw was walking up our walkway with his invitation.
he didn't see us and we didn't rocongnize him but a brother and sister we knew well actually looked our way.
we decided not to bother and went our way to enjoy a lovely morning picking out fresh fruit and vegetables knowing when we got home the invitation would be stuffed in our door.
I don't get an invitation either. Everyone around here knows I am an "apostate!". It is nice not to be disturbed by their foolishness.
ok, so here we go again..... those of us still stuck in have to sit through another study today.... any suggestions on comments to drop through the study?.
Sunday is my day to relax. I sleep in, watch tv, play on my iPad want go out to eat. No more dress clothes and mundane, repetitios meetings.
all - so my wife told me she was going to the kh yesrterday.
it has been a couple of months so i was a bit disappointed but i sucked it in.
i thought about it for a while and when we had a quiet moment together i said to her: "i know you need to make an appearance every once in a while to avoid the risk of being asked to da yourself and being shunned.

i was just thinking about how humans being imperfect and satan's influence was the root of everything bad that anyone has ever done.
well i know that apparently everyone is vulnerable which got me thinking about what "bad" things people have done while they were a jw.
i'll start it off.
I wore low cut necklines and showed cleavage. Most of the sisters shunned me over it, especially the flat chested ones!

life is tough when you've spent your best years in the borg...how do you reconnect when kids are grown and you're close to retirement age?.
It is difficult. I left three years ago and all my lifelong friends are now not allowed to talk to me. I go to movies and go mall walking, etc. it does get lonely but you can't go back to a cult, you know.
i was a little nervous and a bit dazed, i think i will do better next time.
he offered me the memorial invite, i told him i had jw family who would invite me and he got interested and wanted to find out more, so i told him i wasn't interested in the jw religion, he asked why and i said i find it too controlling.
he thought i was talking about moral rules so started on about how jehovah doesn't want to restrict us 'blah blah', so i pointed out that i meant they're not allowed to read certain materials which is wrong if it's as true as they are confident of.. he then went on about how satan uses false teaching to manipulate us and so we have to be careful of what we read.
