I still have 2 JWs in my FB and I just can't follow one who constantly post about theocratic bullock and praises to the almighty Jehovah and the brotherhood. One selfie shows a car group smiling on the first day of the new service year...yeah!

JW Facebook puriven garbage
by Lostandfound inbelow is an example of the pure cliche driven and meaningless posts by witnesses to witnesses on facebook .
it was truly a blessing from jehovah that your original plans .....didn't work out, because instead our family was able to enjoy a spiritually filled morning with ,spiritual food and spiritual entertainment and singing praises to our glorious god, grand creator and loving heavenly father jehovah was a memorable gift.
he has truly provided a perfect example of christian brotherly love through his son, our savior jesus christ.

So the Elders want to get together, and I kinda want to.
by Darkknight757 inso the wife and i were uninvited to another jw get together which we didn't want to go to anyways.
finally we find out that something on my facebook account is getting some people's in my old halls undies in a bunch.
so i was thinking of meeting with them to at least clear my wife's name and give them some much needed hell.

The "divine" instruction is to obey the slave class even if they are imperfect individuals...so it does not matter if they're not inspired or if they err in their teaching. Jehovah always used flawed humans to guide his people. This is how all good JWs will react to this admission in the February 2017 mag.

There's another hall for sale in Essex SW Ontario that's listed for $225000. It looks like it was used by the Spanish speaking congregation for Mexican migrant workers who come to work on the different vegetable and fruit farms. Would it be that they sent their hard earned money to their needy families rather than to the WT? How ingrateful of them after the WT has taken such good care of their spiritual needs ;-)

Disassociation revealed what type of man my father really is.
by Paul Mooney ini began my exit from the jehovah’s witness organization about 5 years.
i was a 4th generation born-in, with all the baggage that comes with having the “spiritual heritage” attached to the group.
i was an elder/bethelite/pioneer/whatever other useless privilege there was, i had no family or friends outside of the organization… my entire life was that org.

Welcome Paul.
I am sitting in a plane shortly before take off to a short business trip to what used to be my home town. I am fighting back tears after reading your post. My dad used to secretly visit my never baptized unbeliever brother and he would cry when leaving. The morning of his death he confided something "disturbing" to my mom who will not tell us what it was about. I suspect that like your dad my father was held hostage in the cult. My mom is 83 and is still pioneering. I'm going home but I can't even reach out to her because all she cares about is the WT. I'm only inactive but she is already in autodefense mode...I am glad that you finally know how your father feels about you and I try to imagine my dad felt the same for me.

What if all JWs had put off having children?
by keyser soze incould the religion have survived?.
i know it was never forbidden, but i remember growing up, how we were encouraged to put it off until the new system, and instead focus on a career in the full time service.. can you imagine if every young jw had chosen to follow that counsel?
it's difficult to imagine the religion being sustainable without the next generation of born-ins..

Welcome.
Since I left the cult it is much easier for me to believe there's no god than trying to justify why a "loving and all mighty" deity can sit on the sidelines and watch the cruelty and suffering of his creatures without intervening. I got disillusioned in believing that all this suffering did not matter since god would make things right in the resurrection...what about not letting that suffering happen in the first place. It's like a parent who wouldn't save his child from a burning house because he believes god is going to resurrect his kid to a better life.

What is the biggest hypocrisy you have seen as a witness?
by HereIgo ini have far too many to name, but ill start with obscene music, gambling and cussing like a sailor.
all the while preaching to "worldly people" about their impending death at armageddon.
thoughts?.

After I realized that I was in a cult but still going to the meetings I went out with the boys and realizes that I was way out of touch with the UFC championship...the brothers knew all about the fighters records and who beat who. I ride motorcycles with a couple of JWs and while walking in downtown Montreal the guys couldn't hide their lust for the sexy women, some even taking a picture of a hot woman stopped at a red light on her crotch rocket motorcycle in a really sexy pose. The guys were laughing and saying they were taking a picture of the bike. This strange for men who are subjected to the WT morality rules. When elders asked for donations from the platform and I never saw any contribution from them in the box when I was the account servant.

"You Can Do Just Enough Ministry To Dislike It"
by pale.emperor inwhen you were "in" did you ever actually enjoy the ministry?
and i made no secret about it.
instead i would joke about me feather knocking, and made sure i had my bible in hand so as they come to the door they know what im about so they can shut me down before i even start.. i always wondered how or why there were people who enjoyed it.

Had dinner with my 80+ years old "lifetime pioneer status" mom and when I asked how she's doing the first words out of her mouth was that the new service year had just started...dance moves and all. Service and meetings is all she knows especially since my dad passed away. Even my brother the elders thinks she's overboard. This is an indication of how deeply she's enslaved by the cult.

"Why Did JWs Ignore Princes Drug Additctions?" by Barbara Anderson
by AndersonsInfo inover a month ago, the associated press in minneapolis reported that counterfeit pills were found at prince’s home.
some contained powerful opioid fentanyl, a synthetic drug 50 times stronger than heroin found in dozens of pills.
these and other mislabeled drugs were found in luggage belonging to the late music star.

Elders are usually the first to be called when a congregation member is hospitalized, which was the case when Prince's plane had to land for an "health" emergency a few weeks prior to his death. If Prince was so close to the congregation how would the elders not know about his condition? -

Sadly I was on a business trip and couldn't attend the memorial but the video was greatly appreciated. It was way different than any JW memorial talks I've attended and no one was trying to force their beliefs onto others. The testimonials from family members were very touching and revealed exactly the kind of person Grace was.
