Some flatearthers believe in the pacman effect where when reaching the edge of the earth you automatically reappear on the opposite side, just like when you played pacman on your old TV...this is not a joke!

Society Ditches Older Publications
by new boy init has been reported that many of the older publications are being dumped.
the watchtower bible and truck society have a long list of books, pamphlets and brochures that are no longer available either in print or in their data base on their web sight.
of course the reason is that this books have a lot of old information that is incorrect, false prophecies, flip flops and a lot of "new light" that became old light.

I guess I was ahead of the game when I trashed all my WT publications 9 years ago. My JW wife didn't put up a fight to save the volumes after I told her the old books were the reason I no longer believed in the WT's ever changing "truth".

Flat Earth Jw and Galileo Galilei
by Earthmeasured inin the image you can see what jw wrote about how galileo was treated by the catholic church.
now they are disfelloshipping me because i believe the earth is flat.

At a flat earther convention they used the Pacman effect to explain why one doesn't fall off the edge of the earth...like when Pacman reappears at the left side of the screen after going off the right side...

My interest for music started in the 60's with the Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Supertramp...and although I am not a Bon Jovi fan the song "It's my life" reflects my view on life. Being Canadian I like The Tragically Hip, Neil Young, Blue Rodeo...

In the summer I see them set up in the middle of an isolated park adjacent to a beach parking lot. They are in the opposite direction from where people walk to go to the beach. I have spoken with them several times and they know I am inactive. Sometimes they're so busy on their phone they don't see me ride my bike past them...I suspect that some mornings I am the only person they speak to.

If you believe you succeeded in life because of the "training" you received at the kingdom hall.
If you believe the food on your table or the roof over your head is a blessing from god.

Service experiences
by former2free ini know what you may be thinking by the title but bear with me.
have you ever reflected on past service experiences and think wow if only i had listened to a householder?
two things come to my mind of personal experience.
-
NVR2L8
Former2free, I had the exact two experiences and the householder knew more about the bible than I did. I told him I would do research but he wanted me to only use the bible to support my argument. He predicted that I wouldn't return...and he was right. Another return visit offered a CD from his church and I refused it while still expecting he would take my bible teach book...Today I realize how delusional I was...

giving to jehovah part this week
by road to nowhere ini love it!!
the brother started by saying we know our donations don't go to the local brothers -- you don't see us wearing gold rings, fancy jewelry (watches?
) wonder if he notices who does?.

I know of some missionaries in Africa who donate their meager monthly allowance to the poor brothers who struggle to feed their families...while the WT has the best facilities and maintains their recent vehicles so they can continue doing their business...In my country the WT is registered as a "charitable organization" but I've yet to see money or aid flowing towards the needy. The only form of charity comes from the generosity of local brothers and the WT takes full credit.

What’s the big deal with birthday cake?
by Addison0998 inhow strict were the jehovah’s witnesses you knew about birthday cake?
i knew a girl who saw a few pieces of cake in the break room at her work, and ate a peice, then found out later that it was left over birthday cake.
she felt so guilty and was scared about a bad impression she left on her work mates.

The company I worked for merged and the staff of the other company celebrated workers birthdays. So on my birthday I saw a birthday cake making it's way to the cafeteria...in near panic I told the HR person that I didn't clebrate birthdays ...blah...blah...blah. The HR person said that the cake was to celebrate someone on their side of the business. How relieved I was...but how stupid the HR person must have thought I was!
