one of the biggest challenges for born-ins in finding their pre cult personality is that our entire personalities are based on the religion.

PM replied. Me and the whereami could double check our translations from your letter or we can translate in portuguese spoken in Brazil and the portuguese spoken in Portugal. There are some little differences between them.

Yes, and in some aspects it's not available to anyone to have a micro universe model to dissect and study. You can extract some social/political laws from the JW universe that extrapolates to the real world.

One of the few good (or not so bad) things about the JW's, is the cosmopolitan spirit of the Borg. And they are so skillful in making zumbis that our life experiences are quite the same in any side of the planet. And BTW only an ex-JW can understand an ex-JW, even it does not speak your language or share your very culture, 'cause the Tower was our universe.

Why don't they adapt to other cultures? (an American religion?)
by hijosdelawatch ini guess the majority of you haven't noticed that being an american, canadian, british, australia... (being involved in the anglosaxon culture) but there are situations in other cultures that make jws seem a bit bizarre.. since the watchtower is quite rigid and bureaucratic, it's reluctant to adapt to different cultures.
so sometimes even the brothers feel very uncomfortable adopting all this "watchtower culture" and even not knowing what to do in some situations.. for example, here in spain women keep their maiden names.
but for some reason, it's the watchtower culture to adopt a particular system.
