So What Sort Of Dogs Are These?

i took this pic last week on the family farm in bonnie scotland.

her ladyship is busily munching on her toast and marmalade whilst 2 of the dogs watch and drool.. my question is this: both the dogs are top pedigree animals and weigh in at 140 pounds each.

can you identify the breed?.

I study the different breeds. It is a Leonberger, which is also the same type of dog that was on the TV show Empty Nest.

many of us, who have found the real truth about the truth and have stopped attending meetings and have made known some of our views to close jw friends and family, are trying to live discreet lives hoping that we never encounter that dreadful moment when the mobile spanish inquisition suddenly knocks on our door.. it is an extremely emotional and heart wrenching situation and many would find it hard to deal with, myself included.

being prepared would certainly help.

being resolved to uphold our consciences is admirable.

I loved the part about when the mobile "Spanish Inquisition comes rolling up to one's door. That has not happened at my house yet, even though my mother has not been to a meeting in about 10 years. I sort of expect it any day though, although it may never happen as I usually open the door and I think they are a little afraid of me. I will keep you posted.

The main topic is help for depressed teens. Yet when I was a teenager and depressed, did the elders help me? NO!!!! The elders made rude little comments about it. Also, in a talk once, they said something like if a depressed person wants to talk to you, just tell them you are busy and will talk later. Also, they said something like, "They will snap out of it, so just ignore them if they are talking crazy". Any thoughts about this?

Gee, I wrote a lot of letters to every elder in the congregations I used to attend and sent copies of everything to the Society. I also sent copies of every elder's letters to every other elder. I also never got response from anyone!!!! Not to sound arrogant, but are they referring to my complaints also??? I shut up for NO ONE!!! If I was easily shut up by someone, then my website would not exist!!! The Society just does not want the real truth to get out about how they are treating their members!!!

Lack of brotherly love at the DC

i sat at the dc today (yawn!

) trying to keep myself entertained i looked around and was wondering to myself how many that were there today were lurkers, trolls & fred halls.

what were the possibilities that some may have even read some of my comments.

This is not about seat saving, but it is about how I was treated the last time I went to a DC. In the congregation that I attended before I moved to another town, there was this woman who professed to be of the annointed. This woman definitely has a huge problem as she almost ruined my life by her giving my mother child rearing advice. Anyway, I saw this woman sitting by another sister from her congregation and some other people who just came because they were possible converts. I speak nicely to her and she acted out in front of them and some elders and a GB member. I do have something good to say about the elders and the GB member. They took her name and congregation and also dressed her down. The GB member told her that she was not acting with love like a true Christian and he commended me on my behavior during the incident -- I acted in a loving Christian manner. I doubt very seriously the elders in her congregation did anything about it thoug as they are terrified of this woman. She tried to lure my mother into one of their star-chamber judicial hearings but my mom couldn't go as the car broke down for some reason. I just thought you would want to hear my story.

she divorced and married someone else, but i do not know her new name.

the last time i saw her was in west helena, arkansas a few years ago, and she tried to speak to me, but i had been trained not to talk to this "evil apostate".

Any lead can pan out to be something. I doubt it is the same person as when she was Garcia, his name was Raymond and they lived somewhere in Phillips County, Arkansas when I was a little kid. I think thay had 2 little girls.

Shepherding Calls and Depression

when we lived in west helena, arkansas, the elders would only make their "shepherding calls" when the circuit overseer was down to visit.

they would give my mom pat answers like "the new sytem will be here soon" and "you don't know what problems really are, my pipes busted last week", etc.

one elder really did want to help us it seemed, but he was prevented by the other elders who told him "we knoe them better than you do, we will handle it".

My mom will be 56 next Wednesday. Her interests include police dogs. Anyway, I am 31 and am currently reading "Blood On The Altar" by David Reed. It is really sad how they can manipulate and suck in even highly intelligent people. I bascially grew up in it but saw the truth behind the curtain so to speak, and got out. They are a sad and beaten down people but they are too blind to see it.

She was baptized June 28, 1974. She has seen their hypocrisy, lies and bad treatment firsthand and she still won't admit they are wrong.

They would give my mom pat answers like "the new sytem will be here soon" and "you don't know what problems really are, my pipes busted last week", etc. One elder really did want to help us it seemed, but he was prevented by the other elders who told him "we knoe them better than you do, we will handle it". Even where we live at now, the elders do not come over to help, the only reason one is coming over now is to try to get me to renew my subscriptions to the Watchtower and Awake. They refuse to help us in any way, not even to get back to the meetings, which I no longer wish to attend anyway!!! But my mom says that God has rejected her because the witnesses rejected her. And when I try to tell her what the Bible says, she does not want to hear it.
