i want to start a discussion about pit bull dogs.
i live next door to a new neighbor who owns an american pit bull dog (also a female of the same breed that's just given birth to three pups).
when i'm in the owner's presence the dog allows me to pet him, but when the owner isn't present the dog acts extremely fierce to the point that i'm scared of him.
Pit bulls are like guns. It all depends on the owner.
I have seen good pit bulls (an ex-g/f used to breed them) and bad ones. Just like there are good _____________ (fill in the blank of breed), and bad ones. Show me a bad dog and I'll show you that their human owner is a piece of crap.

For me, of the 4 close friends I had as a teenager. 2 are faded, but not willing to talk to me, 1 died (was DF'd at the time), and the other is an elder in New Mexico. So between the 5 of us there is a 80% fall out rate. I wonder how this would play out among you folks.
