here i am - born in truth, hard-core spiritual everything all my life, early reg.pioneer, ms, elder, assembly parts, tour at bethel, etc, married now...... i'm trying to examine jw teachings a little closer...... i've spent the last two weeks reading many many posts, info , references on where ex-jw's are coming from.
i'm kind of concerned about a few things lately..... honestly - some points make sense to me - some don't - here are my general thoughts:.
-wt getting un membership for access to library - doesnt bother me - some passports and other governement documents have similar forms and requirements..... -blood issue - some counterpoints to the jw 'rules' makes sense (original intent of scripture is unbled animals, white blood cells similar in mothers milk) etc -however a lot of 'apostate' reasonings and proof are inaccurate.

One thing I often wondered. If Jesus came and decided Russell had it right and chose his brand of faith then why would anyone believing what Russell belived today be branded 'apostate'. This doesn't make sense. How can the system of faith that Jesus HIMSELF approved now be wrong?
...........and 'New Light' doesn't cut it for me.
That Proverb about the light getting brighter was advice from a Father to a Son. If my Dad had taught me how to prepare food so I don't get poisoned and then kept changing the recipe because he kept getting it wrong, I'd either have died of food poisoning early on or given up and asked someone else.
So, I did ask someone else as the watchtower poisoned me!
how have your opinions changed on subjects like premarital sex, gay marriage, higher education, music, smoking, interfaith marriage etc... and do you think they have changed for the better?
personally i feel like everybody has the right to choose their own path, free to make their own choices outside of the jw's and everybody within their religion needs to deal with it and move on, like they expect everyone else to do when they made the choice to become a jw.. i have no problem with homosexuality, seeing that i'm bisexual myself; i used to hate it when my mother would get angry with me because i wouldn't tell my gay friends that it was wrong and disgusting and one day god was gonna killl them kill them for it, when she knew i was too, it was hypocracy at it's finest.
smoking is so not a moral choice to me, it's a health choice.
I was never a judgmental person but defended the watchtower anti-gay perspective out of blind loyalty to what I thought was god.
I have since shrugged off the 'company man' BS and reverted to good ol' me.

I'm sure if she needed a full blood transfusion she would be allowed one and the GB would cover it up under 'theocratic warfare'.
After all, these celebs are a possible source of great financial gain for the GB.

Yeah. this is something that REALLY amuses me. The congregation's lower class R&F haven't seen this book.
If the JW's are God's own organization and his angels direct the work etc, they did a $h1t job of preventing the new 'flock' book from being available. This despite the letters to elders about how to keep it secret and not letting the low R&F even so much as touch it.
Looks like everyone else in the entire universe has a copy EXCEPT the R&F JDubs!

let me share a little calculation i did for "fun":.
i was in for 10 whole years.
there were 5 meetings per week (i just got out before bs was dropped), preparing, travel, socializing after meetings etc.
All the time I wasted in servitude to the GB X money?
Beyond price! Even a cool million quid would not be compensation enough for having me listen to and pedal watchtower lies and propoganda.

PS. What's a 'slavebugger'? I'm in the UK not familiar with this term. I know what a slave is and what a bugger is, do I simply add the 2 together to describe how the GB are shafting everyone?
if you get a chance, read the latest daniel publication (about 11 years old ...) on page 59-60. whats happening in the middle east and north africa is a fulfillment of that prophecy.. love,.
