i've been playing around with this strategy for awhile.

how could i crack the defenses and get a jw to read crisis of conscience, captive to a concept, etc., or just some reasoning points in general on blood, 1914, the history of the wt organization?

i want to help my brothers and sisters, i am still inside for a while longer and feel like i need to do something more tangible.. so i was thinking that if a flash drive was "accidentally" left on the ground in the parking lot.

How far are you on your journey away from the JW Org?

i mentally left the org in march 2010. i stepped down as an elder after my lad got into trouble.

i researched the publications to make myself 'spiritually strong' but it backfired.. i was in mental and emotional turmoil, still on fs, the platform and meetings etc.

i had to force myself to conform to ever failing jw doctrine.. i announced to my family that i was not going back to meetings in august 2010 after the 'overlapping' joke of 'new light'.. i told the elders not to call.

I told the Elders not to call. I was frightened of the Elders calling. I was scared of meeting other JWs. I didn't visit my JW Mom for a while either.

NOW, However, I do not fear other witnesses or the Elders. They can say what they want but they'll get nothing from me. A couple wanted to see me about allegations that I had spoken out against 'the watchtower' (not god mark you).

I don't care what they think say or do now. If they want to DF me I don't care for myself, I won't attend any JC, they hold no power or authority over me.

I just keep my head down out of respect for Mrs and daughter (zealous dub) Punk!

Do You Feel Somewhat Liberated When You Talk About Your JW Past?

i do.. when i tell people that i was a witness, nobody can believe it!

i enjoy telling them why i left the religion, the harm they cause, and the benefits of being out of it.. do you express yourself in this way too or is it only me?.

It depends who I talk to. As a JDub I was under the illusion that 'worldly' people knew all about the JW's becuase of the 'thorough witness' that had been given.

Actually, many non witnesses don't give a monkeys, know little about what JW's are forced to believe and just get on with stuff.

I have some ex-JW friends I talk to.

To those who know little or something about JW's I do a lot of UNWITNESSING. Most think the JW's are just a potty cult.

Unwitnessing is far more productive than JW door knocking. People 'get it' when I apostasize and they air their true feelings...unlike when I was a JDub they kept their views hidden!!

i'm curious about what made you realize that your ex-religion was not "true"?.

i've had discussions with many religious people, and they're always trying to protect their beliefs, rather than allowing anything i say challenge what they believe.

was there ever something someone said to you, or something you read that maybe made you doubt your beliefs for the first time, or had a similar effect?.

I don't know if it's just me, but for us new escapees it seems the 'New Light' of the hilarious 'Overlapping generation' seems to have been the last straw for many!
