  i hate my life!

  i have to say it, but i do.. i have a sneaking suspicion that because i was raised in the dangerous jehovah borgness cult, that this is the reason.

  i was told if god didn't watch me masturbating or smoking, then he'd let me live forever in perfect conditions.. i left the borg and as a result my jw wife left me and re-married another gung ho jobo.

  Well, I kind of knew that. I'm trying things to chase away the darkness.

  I think one of the things that p1sses me off is seeing the ex doing really well in her new gung ho Jobot life. Even TOMO3rd is happier than me.......we suspect it's booze that does it...but, whatever works.

  Who really is the Faithful and Discreet Slave?

  if anyone were to come up to you claiming that they are the faithful and discreet slave, how would you go about proving them to be false, based upon scripture?.

  They should have said it was Whiskey and they're following the fine example of Brother A Morris 3rd of the Governing Body(tm) (Pee be upon them).

  Next, they will work on getting outrageously drunk and slurring their words. Following of course, the fine example set by one of Christ's Brothers(tm).

  Watchtower Corporation propaganda trumps the Bible every time...even when they pretend it doesn't. the leaders will twist Bible passages if it fits their own money and power mad agenda.

  It's a cult. The leaders only want to be treated like rock stars with power and money. They also need money to protect sexual predators within their corporation. I refer you to the Australian Royal Commission that proves this is the case.

  If it's 'you' as in 'me' Unky Punky, then I don't. I think the whole Bible is just fairy tales and been used as a great big scam. I don't see evidence for a God and I've never seen anything outside the Bible that convinces me Jesus was as per Bible....if he even existed.

  No. they need to keep paying homage to their leaders the Governing Body(tm).

  No one ever will. It's abstract and unreal. Just another way their leaders can obtain money, booze and power.

  Tonus has given an excellent precis. Mine is as I am, a tad brusque. I tend to be more of a cross between Nihilism and Zen.

  this relative is a distant cousin on my mother's side of the family.

  she studied as a child and got baptized at 14 1/2 years old.

  The use of "Stumbled" as a Control Technique.

  i thought about this when i read the expression in another thread, "someone was stumbled", they would never tell you who the person was, and simply used it to control you, or it got worse, some times it was "you might stumble someone" .. who were these stumbling loons of which they spoke ?

  not only was it a control mechanism, it encouraged you to not be your real self, ever.. i liked the response of one of my jw relatives to this, where they expected him to change the person he was, he said "these people accusing me are not perfect are they ?

  no, well then, they cannot expect perfection from me".
