the twickenham post made me think of this.

i have a few jw family members on facebook and being summertime, their pics of the convention have shown up in my fb feed.

along with their comments about "i wished it would never end" or "what a glorious weekend".

I liked talking to old friends, chatting up females and eating.

As for the content of the sessions, they were not memorable.

We looked forward to the dramas, only to see some blokes dressed in dyed blankets miming to awful American accents.

Watching the show

i’m new to apostate stuff but have gone deep down a few rabbit holes of late so want to see both sides to everything .

im going to a congregation but am viewed as a bit of a black sheep because i question lots of things but not enough to cause too much trouble.. i’m intrigued watching the show.

in my heart i’m pretty sure the governing body are fakes and charlatans.. the entire thing is a big con game.

yeah, so i've bought this film recently but have never seen it.. i've kinda heard that it's a good film.

i certainly like director nicolas roeg's film don't look now (1973).

roeg also directed this film, the man who fell to earth (1976).. so, i was just wondering if any of you have seen it, and what you thought of it.. er, try not to give spoilers, please ....

Yes. I went to see it at the cinema when it first came out because Bowie was in it.

As I recall it's from a story by Robert Heinlen - Stranger in a strange land.

What did I think of it?

I can't remember, it was so long ago.

I had the poster on my bedroom wall though.

Many sources make many claims.

Many are just based on limited or flawed data.

Anyway, what magazines? I haven't seen any.

yes, there’s a post on reddit.

it says that after a zoom meeting a request was made to baptized publishers to give $20 apiece to fix this elder’s car.. while this sounds highly irregular to me and not necessarily approved by the religion, i am not at all surprised at the nerve.

this, unfortunately, seems to be the direction that things are going there!

Bloody hell. I went to that school as a teenager when it was called 'Walton Comprehensive'. I live within easy walking distance of the Voyager. (Bloody stupid name).

Weirdly enough, local Jobots were told to attend a CONvention in another town not their home city of Peterborough. We locals call it Bogboro' because it's a slum of 'diversity is a strength' ghettos.

A fake religion with fake doctrine. It's all empty and depressing.
